Hm. I wonder why they call central Florida "Alligator Alley"?

"He reached up and grabbed the alligator underneath its bottom jaw, by his skin, and the alligator, of course, pulled him down at that point."

Rebecca Langdale said her brother had seen the move "a million times" on TV, and Hayes pointed out it was probably from watching the National Geographic show "Swamp Men."

Stupidity strikes again.

It was a saipan that Tony Montana's mother flushed down the toilet.  Duh.

Stupidity struck when the humans thought it would be alright to swim in an alligator inhabited river (especially during their mating season {or close enough to it at least}).

I will admit the human had mettle for forcibly sacrificing his arm in such a manner though.

This:

While Fred Langdale's family said he was not provoking the alligator...

doesn't make a whole lotta sense after this:

He reached up and grabbed the alligator underneath its bottom jaw, by his skin...

What? It's totally the gator's fault. If that gator had been able to maintain his temper, the kid would still have two arms. Not to worry though, I'm sure Florida will pass a law against animal attacks.

That'll probably take a while, no?  I mean, their track record in regard to human/animal ... uhh ... interaction ... says they'll take like at least a hundred years to pass anything like that.
