I had never played lotto before. I had never gambled before. I walked into the lotto agent with a ticket, and he checked it. The date was a few weeks old so he went out the back to check on the ticket. Problem was he never came back. I got done waiting fifteen minutes in a cue that was getting longer every second and the remaining lotto till operator was up to her ears. Apparently a week later the guy skips off interstate having claimed an abandoned and unsigned winning ticket. Regret is a terrible thing but not as great as the Pandemic of Gaming Fraud in Australia.

My favourite is when they switch the machine off before Checking the ticket or toss it to garbage instead of returning it. Then they check them all at the end of the work day.

Are you serious?!?

Woo! That sucks dude...

I work at a truck stop where we sell lotto, but our machine has a certain noise it makes when you lose, and a different one it makes when you win. Plus I always ask people if they want their ticket back even if it plays the loser noise. If not, I tear it up and throw it away.

Such dishonesty is appalling. Is there anything you can do?

Isn't that illegal?

In a culture of complacent corruption I dont think they consider ethics or laws to be anything other than a speed bump to their future Lamougini.
