Just wondering how many people here have gotten others into DnD.

I, personally, have taught the rules of 3.5e and 4e to 6 people, and working on a 7th (My girlfriend's neice, who is 10. She has the mind of a 15-year-old, though.)

How many have you brought into the fold? Were there any memorable stories to go with it?

I've got one person who I'm sure I'll corrupt eventually, a few others who might bite.

I was the first person in my group who played or owned any of the books, and I got some friends to join, so lets see... 4 people, plus another 3 or so I've played with about two or three times when camping.

I've been playing for over 25 years...

Um, random guess?

20?

And then there's my 4th grade Catholic Catechism teacher, Sister Maria... Does a nun count extra? lol :D

I've brought three people into the fold total. No memorable stories though.

Long ago in 6th grade I brought the game to my Catholic school. It took a couple of months, but eventually the majority of the kids in my 30 student class had played or were playing. I can only claim a half-dozen of them, as those ones recruited others. It ws banned before the year was up. We moved on to the kid-friendly, demon-free Battle Tech.

In high school I got perhaps as many as 10 to start playing. There was a bit of a haze and things are hard to remember.

In college, it was fewer, and that was more of a haze. Music major and all.

In the 10 years since its only been a handful. I took a few years off and besides, people my age either already play or never will.

On a final note - Its great. I found out last month one of the foremen at work plays. I can now do no wrong.
