As a Canadian, and as one who lacks any military experience, perhaps I'm just missing the context here... even so, that generally doesn't seem like a "good" way to instruct a police force. At first I thought: "Okaaaaaayyyyy... maybe he's trying the 'tough love' approach to instruction." You know, telling it like it is for impact or something. But, the more he went on, the more vitrolic it seemed to get. Dude has some issues to work out. OTOH, being in Iraq too long would probably give a person issues. I think I pity that guy more than anything else... he needs to get out of there.

But I suppose that is really only an insentive for the banned party to not admit to being the same poster. Speculating, as far as I know, is fine.

If you recall, when they changed over the forums, there was a prison break on all the locked threads.  There may have similarly been a prison break on all banned accounts. That and I don't remember if the HATER account was abandoned because it was banned, as I remember at least one comment from HATER before HATER disappeared that he had meant to make HATED.

#18 zombie_babies Oct 21, 2010 12:39:52	There's plenty of English curses but the real interesting stuff is creating derivatives and using adjectives.  Really, if you're bored with English cursing you're simply not creative enough.  Then again, if it isn't your native tongue it's not really an issue with you at all.

I found that the French too tend to have limited themselves to a few words even if their dictionnary includes so much possibilities. Let's call it lazy cursing on the guy's part then.

Sorry, I just find the idea that you've had too many accounts to remember them all to be a hilarious example of the effectiveness of the moderation on these boards, or lack thereof. I don't think they'd have allowed two people with the same screen name, and HATER was a very iconic anti-4E poster. I doubt there'd be another one even after HATER became the_HATED instead. But then again, with the moderation here, it might just happen. I mean, several posters have gotten away with screen names that were just thinly veiled variations of what they were called before being banned (and btw, I applaud you for (finally) having chosen a different one and stuck by it), so perhaps the mods don't look these things over.
#26 Escef Oct 21, 2010 21:22:26	First time I saw this video was on a secret level network while I was in Iraq. You can sit there and call him unprofessional if you want to. What the man was is frustrated. Have you ever had to put your neck on the line repeatedly to do a job that no one else wanted to do? And knowing that a lot of the Iraqi Police were either members or sympathizers of insurgent groups? I was there just last year. While I wasn't one of the guys booting in doors and getting shot at, I understand their frustration. Those of us in intel were every bit as frustrated that we couldn't nail all the bastards that should have been nailed. So, after months and months of getting shot at because you were acting like a SWAT force for people who were afraid to stick their necks out, how would you treat them? If that man were a private contractor he would have quit. But in the military you don't have that luxury. Hell, did you see the so-called leaders of that police force? I can't remember the last time I personally saw a cop that fat. Even fat cops are skinnier than those guys.
