Just annoyed with getting random friend requests from people I've never ever ever seen on these forums. Seriosly though. Don't just start spamming people with friend requests if ya ain't at least chatted with them in a thread or via pm or know them IRL.

Yeah. I accepted a friend request from someone I don't know because they kept spamming me with requests, and they just began to spam me with group requests.

It's a bad scene, man.

Nope but they haven't really abused anything. If they continually spam me then sure but so far I've had no repeat requests. It's just been random requests from random people. Enough that I'll call it spam.

There is a friend request system for these boards? What is this, like a Facebook take-over or something? Everywhere I go online lately, it seems every site is trying to copy the success of all these personal connection sites...

Yep and it's been this way since the forum remodling a few months back. click on someone's avatar and it will take you to their profile. Under their avatar pic thingy there will be an option where you can spam them with a friend request thingy.

Isn't that the kind of crappy mentality that all those social sites thrive on?

Stupid sites with people that have 300 'friends', most of whom they've only seen once in their life and never talk to?

Blagh, I'm glad I can just stick to a few real friends and that I don't need a site to log them on, just so I know who they are.

Just so you guys/gals are in the know.

I got an idea. It might not be great but who cares. I think I'm going to make an application, on me blog feature thingy on these forums, for friend requests. So like if you want me to accept a friend request from you then you'd have to fill out the application first. It might take 2 to 3 business days for it to be processed. Once it has been thoroughly been reviewed by the expert staff your application to be my friend will be considered. Submitting a good application that shows great forum merit might not be enough to get onto my friends list. We are only looking for friends of the best quality and there are (well not really) a lot of people vying for the spot(s). We wish all possible candidates best of luck with getting onto our friends list. The application will (may) be up soon.

I too am a Scorpio. Dark, mysterious, confident, introspective, magnetism, highly sexual/sensual and a whole lot of charm. It's all good to be a Scorpio, am I right?

I myself have been plagued by an influx of Friend Requests from people I've never even met, let alone know who existed. It's quite annoying, to be honest. I simply don't bother to accept or decline, since you can only ever send a request once unless they've declined you. Heh.

I'm a Leo. Yea. Not very like me at all for many reasons.

1) Leo is a fixed sign, meaning I'm stable and determined. I'm more of a cardinal sign, which represents initiation/creativity.

2) It's a fire sign, which is all about righteousness. Personally, I'm an air sign, which means I possess the virtue of knowledge.

3) It's a social sign, which, if you know me, I am not social. More of a personal sign.

You should get a new astrologer - whoever gave you that info doesn't know their stuff.

Fire has NOTHING to do with righteousness.
Fire represents one's desires and creative energies. (in line with your own thoughts).  Also, the fixed signs show determination (you'd have to figure out whether or not that applies).  Finally, the notion of Social signs is a novelty - there are no such things.  (although I suppose given the right planetary influences, a determination could be made, but that would require date and time of birth, and more research time than I care to invest)

Since the Earth percesses on its axis every 20-some thousand years, your "sign" is actually shifted... so you aren't really what you are...

It's about every 26 thousand years and the astrology stuff hasn't been updated for about 2 thousand years. Shift everything about 30 days and that's what everything should be. I think shift all dates for signs down about 30 days on the calender and things should for the most part where they are currently. Maybe I should see about looking up the actual modern dates for this stuff.

Yeah, I didn't even have a computer at home.  I typed out my homework on a typewriter, when typing was required.

Heck, I had a typing class in middle school where we used actual typewriters.  I had a computer class that was like the first implementation of it.  It's amazing how fast things develop.

Ah, come on, guys. There's nothing better than having a bunch of individuals whom you've never met and owe absolutely nothing -not even the time of day- want to be your friends. That's charisma. Of course, it could also be a sign of the hermitous lives of a great deal of people whom now desire companionship but can only seek it through the mechanical boxes they sit in front of for the majority of the day due to the fact that they can no longer interact with other humans face-to-face.

I have yet to see a guess as to my age... Interesting.
Boraxe, I'm going to guess about 35, but that number could easily be five years in either direction. Just from your posts in general. I suspect you're 45-ish, but that's based on an entirely different set of information.

KGM, I had thought you were a little bit older than you are, but your actual age seems about right.

Z_B, your age doesn't surprise me in the least, you've displayed rather a lot of knowledge, and your description of your High School years gives me the impression of some considerable hindsight, only possible with a decade-plus of experience to go with it.

pk, I'm going to guess you're in your late teens. Id, your age dovetails nicely with my thinking, especially your dependence on your Dad's computer for some activities.

Shaz, I can say I'm thoroughlly surprised. I had you pegged closer to Ragnar's presumed age.

Thanks, I've always been told I have an old soul even though I'm only 11.  HS as a toddler was difficult, but worth the trouble.  I still can't believe those 18 year old kids would strike a four year old, but I had it comin'.  I mean, bein' schooled by a kid in Pull Ups provokes pretty much anyone, no?  If I could go back in time, I wouldn't.  That crap was for the birds and bird I ain't.  Anyhoo, I appreciate the compliments.  I do.

I'd guess your age but I can't help but recall some comments you made in another thread about doing violence to a man that dare question a woman's age or weight.  I may be only 11, but I've no doubt my age wouldn't offer a bit of protection - a lesson hard learned from those angsty days of yore (can an 11 year old have those?  meh.).  Geographic location and internet anonymity may offer some safety, but I ain't chancin' it.  I'm still developing, you know, and can hardly risk any serious bodily harm.  Considering how terrible I am at guessing ages, I've no doubt whatsoever that my guess would be so horrifically wrong that the only type of bodily harm I could rightly expect would be of the serious variety.  So I'm afraid I'll have to pass.  Now, were I to ever meet you (or most people, really) in that thar real world, I may have a shot at guessing ethnic heritage.  For whatever reason, I occasionally meet someone and immediately get a feel for their families' nationality through appearance, name and mannerisms.  I'm usually at least close.  But age?  I may as well guess your weight.  In other words, it's a horrible idea and one that would risk damage to my precious growth plates.  I'm sure you understand that that's something I can't allow.  ;)

What?  No laughs?  Oh well.  See, that's why I still do what I do instead of what I wanna do.  Cuz I suck.  I do find it amusing that Id's post came after mine and that it could be seen to imply that she thinks I actually am 11 - which I shan't confirm nor deny, you vultures know too much about the Zombie as it stands.  Yep.  That's ... uhh ... stuff.  Where were I?

Ah yes, the question as to what age I'd guess you to be.  Lessee ... Norwegian?  Whoops, wrong schtick.  Ok, ok.  I'll do it.  If I were the honest sort - and I am *winky winky* - I'd peg you to be somewhere in your late twenties.  Your life as depicted here gives us some clue, of course, but I do get my impression more from your posting style and display of intelligence.  It's not that someone can't be young and intelligent, it's the way you go about typing out that brainy goodness that hints at least a little age (and late twenties would be, of course, just a little age).  It's not a way of typing, IMO, it's your own voice.  And that, obviously, means you've found it.  That's not something many in the younger categories can say.  I know it took me 'till I was at least 9 to find it myself.  ;)  Really, I'm making this guesstimate based upon my knowledge of people.  As they are my sworn enemy, I know them fairly well (ok, that's a product of a little age, too).  In my brief experience with this world and all of its associated places of human interaction, I feel you exhibit a personality that demonstrates you fall into this category.  As I'm gonna guess you're aware, the difference between a 21 year old whatever and a late twenties whatever is actually kind of obvious once you get to that later portion of your twenties.  Or so I'm told, being 11 an all.  So there you have it.  Slap away.  I can take it.  ;)

Not if I said otherwise, or you were way off the mark. As in ten-plus years over.

Well as the women in my family have trained me, answering an age questions is just all loads of bad. Most of the men I know always suggest ya aim low. I just like to aim for the unexpected... and I guess the evil eye.

Ok, let me do some thread diving.

In my case, thirty years ago, I had shorn off my locks myself (at age seven) because I was sick of being blonde. I told not one, but six sets of social workers that. They all insisted to my mother that I needed to have my hair dyed. Needless to say, Mom refused. I'm red in the head now, but that's just the family curse. (all we ladies start off blonde, and turn red. In four tracked generations, this has not been true in five cases out of nearly a hundred).

Now if this post is accurate in time and age that will mean that 30 years ago you were 7 yrs old. This would put you at about 37 yrs of age.

Don't let it bother you. I got the same thing. Probably most strongly from my sister who seriously thinks I'm perfect. It anything let it fall on ya as a complement.

Other than the fact that I'm one of the smartest kids in my class at school (2012)...Everyone thinks I'm always right and the smartest person on Earth...yea. Annoying.

I have always been the smart lazy guy. I love watching people and was always more interested in what other people thought was right than what I knew was right(in school anyway). I still watch people, it's quite fun.

But teabagging in WoW is a legitmate profession. Whacking someone off in D&D is considered evil, kinda like Assassin evil.

About not wanting to be a friend too... This is why you don't want these newer generations to take control of anything. They'll do it wrong just to spite you.

I should think about starting to try that out. You let off a bit of steam one day and act a bit silly, and suddenly you must be some weirdo teen with overt flirting tenancies and a lack of dignity. Please. How immature is that? First off, I don't flirt with people online, I prefer to stalk them. Secondly, I prefer to eat people I've met online, rather than engage in some awkward social relationship.

Flirting is all fine and dandy, but it doesn't feed me.

Now who wants to be my friend?
