#1 zousha_omenohu Nov 29, 2008 16:06:03	After all these months of sleeping in odd places about the house when I come home from college, I finally have a real bed to sleep in! It all started back when I went off to college. At the time, I had my own room, while my brothers shared a room. My youngest brother moved into my room, and when I came home I'd use the foldout couch. Then when that got in danger of being worn out, I moved to a futon matress in the basement. That eventually got too hard when I moved back in for the summer, so I got an airmatress, but that got holes in it by the time school started again. These past few months, I've slept on one of the two sofas we have instead, but now, finally I have a bed to call my own! (Actually it's my parents' old bed. They've got an actual new one and gave me their old one to use.)

The problem was it was sitting there for an entire day that I was a school (7 hours plus 3 hours of bus equals nasty). I still haven't gotten the smell out, and i don't really trust it anymore. Yes, I'm sure it's probably not going to give me diseases, but I'm a hypocondriac and a clean freak, so I'm paranoid.

Yeah, eww. I'd be soaking that in detergents, disinfectants and Febreze myself.

Maybe. :P It's never bothered me. Any hotel worth staying in changes the sheets every time someone uses the room. If I have to sleep in a hotel bed where they don't even bother to launder for each new customer they don't deserve my money.

That was targeted at the person who stated they found the idea of sleeping in their parents' bed to be creepy. Changing sheets solves the problem there, too, IMO. ;)
