'cause it's humans buying and humans, as a group, don't work that way. Especially when it comes to relatively minor things (or things we perceive as minor) we're less likely to apply critical thinking and go with a whim. |

Actually it's been proven that packaging affects the way we react to the product a whole lot; I'm too lazy to find info about it online right now, but there was a test in which people described deodorants in differently colored bottles as good, too strong and stinky, even though it was the exact same substance in each bottle. |
