Been a year or two since I've been around a lot so I've forgotten the ages of many of the OTTer regulars from back then. I also find it interesting how people are placing me as under 21 here since I have talked about brewing my own beer here on these boards. Not to mention that I also need to buy beer to get more bottles for my homebrew. If anything my talk of booze should have put a lower age1 limit on the guesses. _______________________ 1 Thanks for thinking I'm younger than I actually am. I do realize that almost no clerks actually card anybody, but still my point still stands. OK I just realized something and stuff. I've said my age on these forums plenty of times and RH has been around a long time so I'm sure he's read some of the posts where I've stated it in the past. Which reminds me of this time when one of my professors whom is about 60-70 years old got carded at round table on campus. Sounds ridiculous but by law they're supposed to regardless and stuffs.

Here's my personal favorites: 1) You can protect the country by serving in the military and you can help shape the present and future of the entire world with the vote... But you can't buy a 6-pack of Budweiser?! 2) You can be emancipated and have all the legal rights and responsibilites of an adult before the age of 18... But you still can't vote, buy cigarettes, or get that subscription to Playboy until you're 18.
#11 Escef Aug 23, 2011 2:50:43	US Army Europe's policy was that if you were 18 you could drink and buy. What made this awesome was that my unit back in Germany got an 18 year old soldier at one point, and with Germany only being a two-year assignment for single soldiers he would return state-side at the age of 20. Able to legally buy and imbibe for two years, and then sent home where he can't. Awesome.

That was the way Grandpa always described it. Not sure 'bout the army specifically, but based on my father's stories back when he was a new seaman it wasn't strictly enforced.  That was also quite a while ago now, late seventies, early eighties I think.  That and, y'know, he got stationed in Hawaii when he wasn't out to sea.  They're crazy I hear.

#39 Timmeh Aug 23, 2011 23:59:26	Oh, I'm sure it does. My friends and I used to have Lan parties where we stayed up all night and played computer games. We tried 3 this summer and we all fell asleep at like 2 or 3. Though, to be fair, usually we were all tired out from our other obligations, so I think if we had one day where we did our "Noon to Noon" party it would probably work out better. It also doesn't help that my medication makes me sleepy.

EDIT: looks like it was answered since I started reading the thread. Or rather I guess it was on the second page of which I didn't realize there was a second page.
