Hey guys, I need some help. I have a ten page paper that has been overdue since April 28th and the very very last day I can turn it in is May 12th at 10pm and I'm completely stuck because my creative bank seems to have run dry. Every time I try to work on it I end up staring at it and doing nothing for hours because I can't think of anything to say...or if I do think of something I loose it the minute I try to type it out. Please help. The paper needs to be 10 -15 pages 12 font double spaced which is about five pages single spaced.

If you do decide to help me please list any sources you have used as plagiarism is a very serious issue at my school and my teacher will totally be strict about it. If it's a piece of actual literature please post the title and author if available and if it's a website you can just post the link, I'll do the rest in both cases.

Here's the run down of the paper.
Topic: Should active duty (anything that is not entirely desk work such as dispatcher) police officers be required to follow nutritional guidelines while on the clock?

Here's everything I have written.

In recent years, modern advancements in the fields of medicine and biotechnological research have placed a greater emphasis on proper nutrition and the resulting impacts upon the human body. With that in mind, the question of whether or not active duty law enforcement personnel should follow nutritional guidelines become less a trivial question and more of a serious one. So, should active duty law enforcement personnel be required to follow proper nutritional guidelines? In order to fully answer this question there are many things that must be discussed. For instance, does proper nutrition actually help or is fast food just as good? There is also the debate between individual’s freedoms verses the greater good of the public; does a law enforcement officer have a say in what he is required to eat? Organic verse artificial; is there really a difference. Do the benefits of good nutrition outweigh the costs of good nutrition? There is also the question of whether or not the convenience of a fast food meal overshadows the time necessary to prepare a good meal. Supplements; to be used or not to be used, that is another question. Once all of the previous questions are addressed there is still the problem of how to implement this proposed nutritional plan. What are supposed to be the requirements and restrictions of the plan? Another point of discussion is, how are the proposed nutritional guidelines going to be enforced? With all of these points of discussion it is easy to see why administrators could have difficulties with such a simple sounding question and why many choose to simply forego the effort and leave the system as is, flawed.
Today proper nutrition has become a cultural phenomenon in the United States with many people becoming concerned with eating properly and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In fact during the past few years many companies and so called experts have been preaching that proper nutrition combined with regular activity is essential but is it actually.
An individual’s freedom verses the greater good; does a law enforcement officer have a say in what he is required to eat while one duty? This question is truly difficult to answer because there is no definite answer that can be backed with empirical evidence. Instead this question can only be answered by a matter of prospective. For the officer the answer would almost always be a resounding yes; following the general motto of “It’s my body and I should be able to eat whatever I want.”

This is my question as well. I believed that paper was to a process of self discovery and dialog with appropriate footnotes; unless you plan on adding me to your footnote page!

Is this legal?

So long as I cite all of the sources and make notations on any direct quote then yes. Also I'm merely asking for help, not for anyone to actually write my paper. I need ideas, thoughts, opinions, sides, recommendations and whatever else I can get....I don't need someone to write it for me I just need more information and creative discussion. The reason I'm doing this is because I've always done papers with other people as a team. We'd never write it for each other but we'd bounce ideas off each other and check each others facts and make each other back up our statements and opinions with respectable sources and evidence. Unfortunately for me, all my friends and classmates have abandoned me on this...so I'm turning to my last haven...the internet.

I will be happy to add you to a special thanks section of the works cited section of the paper with proper scanned proof of the paper I turn in for the final grade. The paper will have it and the teacher will see it.

The section will more than likely read:
Special thanks to these people for their, thoughts, opinions, advice and overall assistance with making this paper possible.

Whether it was legal wouldn't be my concern, but whether it was ethical.

Regardless, it's not my field of study, and it seems like more a philosophical question (how much an employer should be able to dictate the personal habits of the individual, provided they are able to maintain fitness for their job) then one of science.

Here's an idea to consider:

It seems to me that it would be a nightmare to put together a mandatory nutritional program for a large group of people, because different people have such variable nutritional needs. It would be easier to hold the police officers accountable for their results than to try and regulate everything they do. Even ignoring the issue of personal freedom, it may still be better to avoid over-regulating police officers, especially in the area of nutrition.

Good luck with the paper!

I think it's serious at ever school especially colleges. I think it's something that gets one expelled and stuff. Like kicked out and then not allowed back in anywhere cuz everyone gets told.

Anyways, I know nothing about the topic nor have any strong opinion about it.

I'm surprised to see so little written so far.

OK frankly, I don't know. At all. But if I were you, in order to solve the Greater Good vs. Individual deadlock, I'd bring in the concept of duty. Maybe saying something like an officer is employed by the government (and, by extent, by the citizens) and thus may not have all the rights a truly free individual might have - he gives up part of that freedom in order to protect and serve. I think I'd work with that a bit - I mean, really extemporate on it for several pages should be doable, if you have enough quotable philosophers or stuff like that.

Sorry I couldn't really be more helpful, wish you best of luck for your paper.
