So I'm tanking and my healer doesn't really seem that into it anymore.

She's always late and seems to be thinking of other things when we get down and dirty.

And I can't just leave her 'cause we have three strikers we have to take care of.

Tis a terrible thing when your Healer loses interest in you.

Maybe you should try some role reversal?

Maybe bring some spice back into the relationship?

Dude, at least you have a Healer. My group's made up of a Figher that won't Mark, a Beasty Ranger with a Bear, a Rogue and myself - a Staffizzie. We have to *shudder* ... Heal ourselves. ;)

She may not be the best, but don't take what she does do for granted. You'll miss that healing touch when you've only got yourself to do it.

Dude, my healer had the same problem, apparentley I wasn't good enough for her god. One day when I was just minding my own business, fighting a mob for a solo quest, I see her healing another tank! I stop in the middle of the fight, embarrassing myself in front of all the orcs, and ask her, "What's all this about? I thought the rogue was just messing with me when he said you were fooling around with another tank. But here I am, seeing my healer buff another warrior!" She tried apologizing, but it was too late, I had already spent my last action point trying to make things better.
The healer I'm with now understands how a good team works, and I've never been happier (or healthier!). So my advice to you is, learn to cut your losses and make a full retreat before you only get bloodied.

Well, if you think that is bad... My healer is a Warlord. She always tells me what to do, forcing me to move to this square, attack this monster. And if I didn't, she would refuse to Heal me.

So after a while, we decided to spice things up to try and save our partnership and got another healer, this time a Bard. She was better at healing, but she kept hitting monsters and telling them I did it. And sometimes she would ignore me and just heal the Warlord...

Any advice for a poor worn out tank?

PS I am a Paladin, and whenever I complain about not getting enough healing, they just tell me to touch myself with Lay on Hands

Hey, nothing is wrong with a little Healer on Healer action now and then.

Its nice sometimes, but it used to be my job to Lay on Hands the Warlord... I mean, I had to do it whenever she asked, but it was my job...

Now I'm just stuck laying hands on myself while they sit in the back and heal each oher.

Maybe the problem started with you...healers like to be appreciated, and appreciated directly. Have you said 'thanks for the heal' lately? Or 'you're so good at healing?' Have you made sure she gets good magic items regularly? Do you ask for healing, or do you just charge into battle and expect her to heal whenever you need it? Is it just, 'well it's time for healing' and stand there swinging your sword around? When was the last time you used Aid another to help heal, or maybe help with some other skill challenge that maybe isn't related to healing, like Diplomacy or even Religion? Do you tell the other members of the party how good your healer is, or do you make jokes at her expense? DO you at least try to heal her when she needs it, or does healing only happen when *you* wnat it?

Healers have needs too, you know. Even Warlord healers. (sniff)

Have you tried spicing up your relationship?

You could bring in another healer or tank to spice it up.

I hear that hell horseys can add a lot of hot passion to a relationship.

Maybe - depends on what their special 'Mount' power is...

I hate to be the one to mention this, oh who am I kidding I'm giddy at the possibility of watching the trainwreck that is to follow, but are you sure that the strikers are yours? She might have another tank and they might belong with him. She might just say they are yours in order to get all your treasure.

It's true! I had this fighter friend, who told his cleric he was happy with just being a two-person party, that he could be a striker for both of them. He spent so much getting those multiclass feats, and lo and behold when they leave to scour the next temple - a warlock and a wizard pop up. My friend knows he didn't have an arcane bone in his body, so he suspects she was giving some Healing Words to someone else...maybe his swordmage best friend.

So just be careful!

Kick her outta the house, throw her clothes out the window, and start over fresh with someone much younger...

Hmm...I'd retort, but there's no bonus to Wisdom from Age in 4e...so it's actually not a bad idea...awful. :P

just kill her PC and say it's what your character would do.

Then have your pc slay half the town, blaming it on bad parenting, and no social life.

In the court, plead insanity.

Once convicted, burn, and wonder why it takes so long.
