LINK Apparently, from the comments after the article, it's a yearly ritual in a certain part of Hungary where the girls go through the streets dressed up in traditional costumes and the boys toss water on them as some sort of purification ritual (rather than as a fertility ritual as it states in the article) whereupon the girls then give them a hollowed-out painted egg in return... And yes, before anybody starts in with the wet-T-shirt jokes, somebody already went there in the comments beneath the article...) |
