| #2homicidal_squirrelJan 24, 2012 8:35:43 | Soccer fans get way more into it than fans of other sports. Wish I could see the link, but I'm in the middle of class. I get the feeling I should be paying attention instead of responding to you. |

Then he goes on this epic rant about awesomeness and Star Trek or something. It's pretty sweet. To be fair to the drama queen, though, it was a goalscorekick or whatever they're called that broke some famous dood's record for some Spanish team or something - I didn't really pay attention. But even if that's true, imagine what sort of heart explosioning this dood would have had if he had been calling the Saints game where Brees broke Marino's record, Sproles set the single season all purpose yardage record and Graham set the single season tight end yardage record (albeit only for minutes) - all during the same game! Man, he would have died so hard. |

| #6grehnheweJan 25, 2012 7:31:53 | That was pretty funny! Actually a hat trick for Messi is not even that big a deal for someone considered to be the best striker in the sport right now. As far as him beating out Ronaldo for goals, that could change next week- la Liga is barely half way through their season. In related news, Dempsey who is on loan to Fulham made the first hat trick by an american in EPL. He also scored a hat trick in an FA cup game a week or two ago. sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tack... |

If he would have called the Saints game - one of real records and excitement - he would have died. That was pretty funny! I don't understand any of that. You're not speaking football, are you? ![]() |
| #8ADHadhJan 26, 2012 10:15:49 | I don't understand any of that. You're not speaking football, are you? He's speaking the only football that matters. You know, one that is relevant to more than a single nation ![]() |
| #9zombie_babiesJan 26, 2012 10:32:26 | He's speaking the only football that matters. You know, one that is relevant to more than a single nation Nah, if he were talking about football I'd have recognized it. Remember, the Super Bowl crowns a world champion. ;) |
| #10ADHadhJan 26, 2012 10:53:15 | He's speaking the only football that matters. You know, one that is relevant to more than a single nation It does? Weird. Anyway, Euro2012 is coming. And to me that is relevant ;) |
| #11zombie_babiesJan 26, 2012 12:19:53 | Yeah, us Americans are funny that way. The World Series, after all, only sees American teams play in it. At least with football it's kinda fair. Like, there's not many other countries that play it so the Super Bowl sorta is a defacto world championship. I mean, Canadia does have football but their best players are the NFL's castoffs and neverbeens. It's not like they'd have a real chance. |
| #12grehnheweJan 26, 2012 17:58:17 | That was pretty funny! I am bilingual, I speak both football and throwball. ![]() (I don't know if you checked out the Dempsey article, but it shows him getting stink eye from one of the Newcastle players followed by him being held up by Fulham fans, one of which is holding a Texas flag) |
| #13grehnheweJan 26, 2012 18:05:14 | Anyway, Euro2012 is coming. And to me that is relevant ;) Can't wait for Eurocup! The group of death: Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal. Myself, it's all about Three Lions! (Unfortunately I think Rooney's ban will last the whole group stage )And Champions league starts back up in a couple of weeks...go Chelsea! |
