I would say 3 days, 6 hours. See, going 80 was way over the speed limit, and you'd get thown in jail for a couple of days.

Or, 2 1/2 hours because you go 80, but then hit a traffic jam.

Or the swallow could be European instead of African. These things matter.

Are we talking about actual 80 miles or are we talking like you're on the interstate and you see a sign that says you are 80 miles from your destination. I'm pretty sure those signs are about as accurate as Microsoft time when you're downloading or installing something.

So if you leave from your house to go to your friends house, which is 60 miles away (along the route you take) and it takes you one hour to get there, did you ever break the speed limit of 60 mph?

Yes, even if there are no stoplights.  You still would have to account for acceleration and deceleration.

"Deceleration" is just acceleration with a negative sign!

Saw that on the telly yesterday, or maybe the day before... hell, it was recently...and I simply refused to believe it wasn't staged. There is no possible way somebody is that stupid...
...
right?

You assume we live in a world where people are smart enough to pass by a Bright Red Car, parked under a streetlight, remember it's there, and then see it on the way back up the street and not hit it head on at 30mph...
