| #1LukeniednerNov 08, 2010 21:24:04 | I am new to forums so if I'm doing this wrong, or if this is in the wrong place; I am sorry. I am having an extremely difficult time finding people to play Dungeons and Dragons. I live in Maine and the closest shops in my area are about 30 miles away. I have tried to game with people at these shops but it is mostly kids that really just get together to socialize with friends. I have been trying to find people to game with for the past few years and I am starting to give up hope. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a page out there that helps build groups? Does wizards have a "Looking For Group" (LFG) page or any tools like that? If there isn't; Is there something I can do to find a group? |

As for "using it as an excuse to socialize with friends" well, in my experience, that describes most game groups everywhere. |

Its just the groups I have run into are all young kids that (no offense) aren't at my maturity level. I am really just looking for a group that has all adult players. Thank you for the quick response. |

| #6pigknightNov 09, 2010 21:57:19 | Since the main question has been answered I don't think the OP will mind a little derail. *Choo, choo!* Well, onto the derail. What does a "mature" roleplayer mean? To some it is roleplaying at all. To others, it is Shakespearean acting. And to some, it is "adult" roleplaying...and by "adult" I mean drow (if you catch my drift). ![]() |
| #7Mad_JackNov 09, 2010 23:42:44 | Well, I'm pretty sure the OP meant "mature" as in "people who were born before he graduated college"... |
| #8Robin_HoodlumNov 10, 2010 6:18:04 | Since the main question has been answered I don't think the OP will mind a little derail. I dunno... I think he means players who don't act juvenile and immature. I have played with immature, juvenile groups... and I've played with mature, serious groups. But never sober in either... |
