Apparently fleshlings need such materials to satisfy their basic urges.
Processing the images yourself is too difficult and inhumane.

It's a frivolous lawsuit and I hope they prosecute him for it.

He robbed a Michigan bank, in January, leaving a trail of money behind him, as well as footprints in the snow.

WTF? Hey, soldiers overseas aren't allowed porn, what exactly entitles a convict to it?

So called because salting the peter works similarly to salting the earth, I'm assuming.

... seriously?  That's a bit f***ed up.  Not that I believe it's uniformly that way in practice.  Porn, like gambling and prostitutes, are one of those things you'll find everywhere whether it's "allowed" or not.

I think HS wins the thread with that one.

Although, I can think of one good use for porn in prison.  Can you imagine the riot-stopping potential of piping audio of multiple female orgasms through the speakers?  It's very hard to keep your angry up when you're distracted by that.

Actually, that sound tends to pump ya up.  And if you get all jacked on andrenaline cuz of somethin' smexy an' there's nothin' smexy around to put all that energy into, you could get frustrated.  Then, maybe angry.  A bunch of frustrated and angry convicts full of energy they're lookin' to dump?  Not a riot stopper, IMO.

I imagine it would work once, though.  Not cuz it would put the guys in the mood to cuddle or anything, though.  Sheer humor, man.  Doods would probably be laughing their **** off.  After that one time, though?  It would probably seem like taunting.

Personally I'd prefer the riot stopping potential of a flamethrower.

Yup.  Or that thing they have in Arizona (of course).  It's like a pepper spray turret or something, I think.  That works for me.

You're right, it is one of the least-enforced rules over there, but people do get busted for it (usually when you have someone that's out to get you or your boss is really that much of a regulation nazi). Even better, naked pictures of your spouse or significant other also qualify as porn.

At least until the first hooker gets murdered by some crazy ass**** that fooled his way into the program just so he could murder a prostitute.

's probably easier to use hookers that are already serving time in prison.

(You'd also think they'd keep an eye on the prostitutes though)

But what if one got pregnant?
Can you imagine the issues and problems that would cause!?
And part of the punishment for being in prison is limited contact.
Having been a guest of the Fed gov't in one of their lavish facilities, I still wouldn't want hookers allowed.

I'm pretty sure the parenting capability of prostitutes in prison are around the average level for parents these days.

I dunno... I think most parents are responsible and have their heads/hearts in the right place... most...
