So what are the rules for nominating and voting? Are they the same as TA's?

Well, if you're nominated by somebody else, you're probably not insignificant enough. Otherwise, nobody would think of nominating you, right? So probably if somebody nominates you you're not on the list. Has to be self-nomination.

I nominate me. Twice. I've got the qualifications and ambitions to be the most insignificant OTTer the world has ever seen. Don't crush my dreams, man.

I am quite insignificant here. I create most threads in the Campaign & Adventures Workshop.
And I'm not even an otter.

Far be it from me to crush anyone's dreams, though I do see your name around a lot.

Nominating The White Sorcerer.

Perfect. I don't remember seeing you post.

College classes keep me away from here too often for me to be a significant poster.

Me.

I post gratuitously on these forums, yet have contributed nothing of substance... ever. :D

The sole purpose of my existence is to provide sarcasm and facetious rambling.

A noble goal, sir. Were all the world of your quality we would have fewer wars, if more headaches.

I dub thee a hero of our cause for insignificance.

Then doesn't that make you an ideal OTTer?

Oh, and I nominate myself!

Neither. It's for not doing those things. Or at least, not significantly.

Sadly then, I cannot be a true member... maybe I can it a guest pass for insignificance?

Me, me me!!!

Wow, this is such a dishonor...first of all, I want to thank God, for doing whatever it was he did that he gets credit for. And of course, Jack T. Chick, for making me laugh so hard, and teaching me the true meaning of D&D. And Awesome Dude, for being awesome. Pigknight for teaching us that bacon and chivalry can co-exist...wait, I'm not done, stop the music, I'm not done talking. I have a special word of thanks in memory of Bea Arthur, without her contribution the movie Airheads would not have been funny. Now to be serious a moment...working on this thread has deeply affected me...I never knew how terrible times were for many people. Now we live in fictitious times, where we play fictitious (fantasy) games, as fictitious characters, and all is settled by a roll of the dice. My DM made a bad call the other day, and me, and all the gamers of the world have this to say: shame on you, DM...shame on you. Thank you, and good night.

Normal is the new weird... the rest of us are seemingly normal. Like serial killers.

"He was such a nice boy, so normal. I never would've expected anything like that was going on."

*stands at a broken podium in front of a trash-littered room of empty chairs*

Hi everyone, this is your periodical insignificant OTTer progress report. Let's see, where did I put the meeting notes...*picks up a clipboard with a drawing of a sasquatch on it*

Okay, so in the time period since the last review, our members have posted erratically, made flippant remarks in a number of threads, and otherwise failed to engage in meaningful conversations with the rest of the community. Good job, guys. However, we have reports that some members have posted remarks which border on significant. It's not like we're going to penalise you for it, but keep in at a minimum, people.

In other news, a goat has eaten the rest of the meeting notes, so meeting adjourned.

Eh, I nominate all you people for insignificance. By the rules, as I understand them, that makes you too significant to be insignificant.

... what? It's an off-topic forum. I believe in insignificance about as much as I believe in significance. That is to say, I don't.

I'll only accept this if you can name everyone who posted in the thread without looking.

No. It's 'significance' and 'insignificance', not 'memorable' and 'forgetable'. Something can be significant, yet easily overlooked (see: quantum physics) or easy to remember but unimportant (see: Hollywood).

Not to mention that I'm opposing this on philosophical grounds, in that as an off-topic tavern there is no significance to anything here, and as such the posters here cannot, by definition, be significant or insignificant.

s-marrow

I oppose your face on philosophical grounds!

...yeah, sorry. I will not attempt to refute your assertion with well-thought out philosophical arguments, as I believe that may be a step towards significant thought.

However, I will state that we are probably all well aware of the apparent hypocrisy of our actions and seek to embrace this virtue in our quest for the true insignificance.

But most likely everyone was just bored and feeling silly at the time. Works either way for me.
