Hello Ebay Bidders, today upfor grabs is a set of original D&D Guides. The condition is Far with most of them being OK with no major problems. Problems I've found is that there is some pen marks and one of the bindings is broken and i had the local librarian tape it back up for me. The Auction is for the lot in the pictures with what you see being what you get.

Included

  • AD&D Monster Manual - Taped Binding ^ See Above

  • AD&D Deities And Demigods - Best one in the lot

  • AD&D Players Handbook - Pen Marks, regular wear

  • AD&D Dungeon Masters Guide - Great, some pen marks

  • AD&D Fiend Folio - OK Usual Wear and tear.

ALSO INCLUDED IS A AD&D DUNGEON MODULE G2

Well, it's cheaper than the original cover prices for those books... MSRP was between $10-13 for each of them. It's not like old D&D books are "collectibles" or antiques, so just like anything else they're only worth what you're willing to pay for them.
Without seeing a picture I have no idea about the quality of the books, but I'd check to see (if possible) how much wear there is on the spines - if they're not extremely wrinkled (i.e., like a softcover book instead of a hardcover), chances are the books are in decent condition. Those older books are well-constructed: pretty much anybody who didn't sell or lose their books back in the day (or actively destroy them) still has their set. I used mine as coasters, eating trays and painting tables for decades and they're still in decent condition.

Bleah. $40 for taped bindings and penmarks? I wouldn't pay that. Of course, I still have all those books in good condition, so I may not be the best person to give an opinion.
