I was thinking this tonight - Torchwood is full of F-words and even the occasional C word.

You get frequent same-sex kisses, and even the occasional bit of Captain Jack/Ianto nudity.

also, it';s not just same-sex stuff - Gwen and Rhys have been known to have a few on-screen moment

given that, according to my understanding anyway, US TV is more concervative about these things, does all this get cut out or beeped when it's shown over there?

I didn't notice any censoring, but I assume so.

Then again, we saw it on BBC America.

More to the point, are there going to be any more episodes?

Two series so far (each of about 13 espisodes). Haven't heard anything about a third series yet. Jack, Ianto and Gwen are all in the double bill at the end of the series of Dr Who we're just finishing in UK. Which Torchwood series is America on anyway?

Did anyone notice that Jack (and Martha) never sware, but all the rest do? Something to do with them being ones kids might recognise.

we just hit the end of the second series, i believe.

haven't seen any with martha yet, but i would think they don't curse because of thier appearences from Dr. Who. they gotta look good after all ;)

but yes, most of the words are beeped, but if you can read lips, you can tell what they are saying.

funy thing was, the mrs. and i didn't know torchwood was adults only, and our 6 and 2 yr old love the doctor, so we are all sitting there watching torchwood when this guy throws an alien onto the counter and goes oingo-boingo. so the channel got changed muy rapido lol

Torchwood goes out at 9:00 on week nights this side of the pond, where as Dr Who is on a 6:30 on weekends, so there hoping they don't get too many little kids watching.
Martha's in two or three episodes in the middle of series two. There's hints in Dr Who that she might be in series three aswell, if that ever happens.
Definatly no bleeping here.

I got the impression Mickey could be as well...

I've heard a horrible rumor that Rhys is going to actually join the team - i like that he is external at the moment, giving them their dose of reality

however, despite my plot misgivings, more Rhys on screen can only be a good thing!

Depends on the channel you are watching Torchwood. BBCA edits the hell out of all the Brit shows (their "remake" of Life on Mars was especially egregious). For content, yes, but mainly for space - gotta fit those ads in.

BUT! If you get HDNet, not only can you see all the bare bums, hot monkey love, and C-words you can handle, it is also in glorious High Definition, as RTD intended it.

That would be bloody hilarious.
