| #10Cpt_MichaMar 23, 2012 19:46:40 | Which genre of video games? |
| #11gideonjuraMar 23, 2012 19:49:29 | Which genre of video games? Any video game whats your favorite video game? |
| #12bone_nagaMar 23, 2012 20:07:18 | Which genre of video games? It's hard to say. There are a few really good video games. Like damn good video games. But if I had to choose a few: Metal Gear series, Assassin's Creed series, Devil May Cry series (except the second one, what the hell was wrong with them), Call of Duty series, God of War series, X-Wing/Tie-Fighter series (I know they're old, but I still break out XvT once in a while, there just isn't anything newer to replace them), Rocksmith, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. |
| #13draco1119Mar 23, 2012 20:14:24 | Well, let's see... I've always like the WWF/WWE Smcakdown! line. |

| #18EscherEnigmaMar 24, 2012 1:12:24 | This thread is quite fun but you know whats even better video games whoes with me? Eh. I've mostly been reading god damn gay erotica/mystery novels today. Sure, they're trashy and the plots are lame, but they're pretty fun reads. Though it is kinda weird to see what women think men think like. |
| #19trappedsliderMar 24, 2012 8:53:39 | You know darn right well you shoudn't try to push the mods. No |
| #20bone_nagaMar 24, 2012 12:17:44 | Goddamnit! I haven't really gotten into strategic-level wargames (except Risk but that's really basic, not sure if it even counts). I do like me some Star Wars Miniatures Battles (West End d6 version, not the WotC version, and likewise with the RPG) but that's a skirmish game. I tried to play Axis and Allies one time. My friend who owned it said the rules were really complicated if I just read through the book so he would explain them as we played through (so when I bought some ships he would explain naval rules, etc). Pretty soon I realized that he was making up/changing rules on the fly and then I got pissed off so we never finished the game. |

They only get complicated when you add in the optional rules. |
| #22bone_nagaMar 24, 2012 12:27:14 | I tried to play Axis and Allies one time. Pretty soon I realized that he was making up/changing rules on the fly and then I got pissed off so we never finished the game. Yeah I realize that now. He was just trying to exploit me not knowing the rules so that he could change them in his favor, but when we both do the exact same thing and it's working completely different for him than it is for me, it was time to throw the BS flag down. |
| #23bone_nagaMar 24, 2012 12:48:15 | And I just want to point out that the Xeno Games version of A&A, called World at War, is 1000 times better than HASBROs garbage. I will have to keep that in mine as I haven't bought any board games for a while; it's about time for something new. |
| #24draco1119Mar 24, 2012 13:44:45 | And I just want to point out that the Xeno Games version of A&A, called World at War, is 1000 times better than HASBROs garbage. I like Avalon Hill's Axis & Allies. *shrug* And you can't beat the price - I got it for free. |
| #25gideonjuraMar 24, 2012 17:55:26 | How did you manage to do that? |
| #26trappedsliderMar 25, 2012 15:10:43 | And I just want to point out that the Xeno Games version of A&A, called World at War, is 1000 times better than HASBROs garbage. Doesn't it also take longer to play than A&A or is the time about equal? |
| #27ADHadhMar 25, 2012 17:51:02 | I would say it takes longer. Well, for me that's way too long. I'm not in that type of thinking yet ![]() |
| #28Mr_MiscellanyMar 25, 2012 23:44:46 | I just like that there's a beer in that picture. Beer makes everything better. |
| #29homicidal_squirrelMar 26, 2012 10:42:33 | Pabst isn't beer. |
| #30Mr_MiscellanyMar 26, 2012 16:27:54 | Yes, it is beer. But Vibram Five Fingers are not shoes, so there you go. |
| #31homicidal_squirrelMar 26, 2012 17:21:23 | Yes, it is beer. No, Pabst is not beer. You just have very bad taste and no respect for yourself. |
| #32Mr_MiscellanyMar 26, 2012 17:54:30 | No, Pabst is not beer. You just have very bad taste and no respect for yourself. I think perhaps you have no taste, literally…which is to say I suspect you do not know how to wait for Hot Pockets (or perhaps Pop Tarts) to cool down. To drink of Pabst is to enjoy a taste that is at once both unpretentious and pure. These qualities are lost on a tongue so rough it would give a cat pause. |
| #33homicidal_squirrelMar 26, 2012 18:10:38 | No, Pabst is not beer. You just have very bad taste and no respect for yourself. ![]() Seriously, you should try real beer, and not that sewer water swill. By the way, why would you eat a Hot Pocket or a Pop Tart? I thought you were an adult? Don't you know how to cook real food? |
| #34ADHadhMar 27, 2012 3:15:03 |
Well, he is drinking sewer water swill instead of real beer too, so... |
| #35homicidal_squirrelMar 27, 2012 7:10:25 |
That is true... |
| #36draco1119Mar 27, 2012 9:48:19 |
DAMN! |
| #37Mr_MiscellanyMar 27, 2012 14:13:44 | Seriously, you should try real beer, and not that sewer water swill. You dare! ![]() By the way, why would you eat a Hot Pocket or a Pop Tart? I thought you were an adult? Don't you know how to cook real food? I was only inferring your taste for food-like items from your unfortunate inability to appreciate Pabst. If you didn’t burn your tongue wolfing down fresh Cherry Flavored Pop Tarts, was it because you were taught to microwave Fruit Roll-Ups before eating them? I’m really starting to worry about you. Wearing recycled dodgeballs on your feet... |
| #38homicidal_squirrelMar 27, 2012 14:59:12 | Seriously, you should try real beer, and not that sewer water swill. The word "fresh" should never be used to describe Pop Tarts. You are in dire need of a culinary education. |
| #39Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 16:47:24 | Know what's worse than Pabst? See pic below. ![]() |
| #40trappedsliderMar 28, 2012 17:17:28 | Know what's worse than Pabst? Well which one the guy or the drink? |
| #41draco1119Mar 28, 2012 17:20:02 | Know what's worse than Pabst? Yes. Though I'm surprised it's not a pic of him holding up Natural Ice. |

| #44trappedsliderMar 28, 2012 17:23:29 | Know what's worse than Pabst? thats what i thought..one posions your live and the other posions everything else... |
| #45draco1119Mar 28, 2012 17:25:40 | Though I'm surprised it's not a pic of him holding up Natural Ice. Does this answer imply that you have better taste, or just more money, than you did in the late '80s? Since you regularly drink PBR, I'm gonna go with Door #2. |
| #46Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 17:28:03 | Know what's worse than Pabst? ![]() Damn! You're funny today! You've earned a day off from me razzing you 'bout reportin'! ![]() |
| #47trappedsliderMar 28, 2012 17:30:01 | Know what's worse than Pabst? you earned this : ![]() |
| #48Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 17:32:52 | Though I'm surprised it's not a pic of him holding up Natural Ice. Well, while technically I have WAAYYYY more money than I did back then, now I have a wife, an ex-wife, one kid that doesn't live with me, two kids that do, a house, 3 cars, and a helluva wargame/RPG/Military History Book collection So, you do the math. Also, I only really drink on game night, and like I said, I don't buy the booze, and we go for the most, the cheapest. Like Stalin said... "Quantity has a quality all its own." EDIT: As far as my taste is concerned... it's as poor as ever. |
| #49Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 17:34:13 | Know what's worse than Pabst? Pffft! I knew t5hat back in 9th grade health class... with Fred and Barney. |
| #50homicidal_squirrelMar 28, 2012 18:19:07 | Know what's worse than Pabst? Three things about this picture I find extremely disturbing. 1. That guy. 2. The "beverage." 3. That picture of the kids in the back ground. |
| #51Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 18:23:24 | Know what's worse than Pabst? The blonde, older kid is me, circa 1974 |
| #52Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 18:29:55 | Hm... Wish I had more gray at the temples... so I could go for the Magneto look... |
| #53homicidal_squirrelMar 28, 2012 18:40:03 | Know what's worse than Pabst? That's just another reason that picture is so disturbing. |
| #54Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 19:03:43 | Know what's worse than Pabst? ![]() |
| #55Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 19:04:59 | Yeah. What is he doing to that kid, I can only imagine it's his brother, in front of him? My younger brother by 3 years, born deaf, and diagnosed schizophrenic when in his mid-twenties. |
| #56Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 19:05:44 | You wanna look like a comic book vilain? Magneto has been my favorite since ... 0h, about 1977 or so... |
| #57Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 19:31:50 | Yeah. What is he doing to that kid, I can only imagine it's his brother, in front of him? I've never heard voices in my head. Nobody else in my family has been diagnosed with a mental disorder. This is unfortunately not rare with people born deaf, and it usually manifests in the 20's. And bait not taken. |
| #58Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 22:55:42 | HeyLook! HOMEMADE WINE! ![]() |
| #59Robin_HoodlumMar 28, 2012 23:22:31 | Maybe you should try after shave. ![]() Yeah. But I should actually shave first. |
| #60ADHadhMar 29, 2012 18:03:41 | Yeah. What is he doing to that kid, I can only imagine it's his brother, in front of him? Deafness or schizophrenia? Because in the latter case I think it's entirely untrue. Edit: Checked, I was wrong; but the most endangered would be children of both parents ill or identical twins. Sorry for taking this topic seriously ![]() |
