If D3 gets released next year. Remember, Blizzard titles are near perfect, but they love to take their sweet time to develop those.
In other words, you may either buy Skyrim right away or wait for D3 to come out... by which time Skyrim may be available cheaper (if you plan to play on the PC).

Also D3 is pretty sweet (I'm in beta) but I'm not expecting a release before mid February at this point, so Skyrim was probably the better choice (unless you can't scrape together another 60$ by March...)

Also the RMAH isn't a cash shop, like Mabinogi or Maple Story: it's more like E-Bay.
