It makes me think of female genitalia.

Are you sure you weren't just doing that already?

Really? If you've had sex with anyone whose junk looks like that I'd suggest getting yourself checked out immediately.

I didn't say that! Geez!
I prefer my sex live to involve as little bees and pollen as possible.

All I'll say about sex and plants is that, if you think about it, those of us with pollen allergies are the sensible ones.  We're the ones that say "what?  A bunch of flowers are fornicating in our noses?  Screw that, prepare to sneeze and get that nasty gunk out of our nose!"

Considering illithids don't have genders and don't have intercourse, I'm not sure how they could be gay :P

And yet there's still half-illithids.  Makes you wonder, don't it?

So... in order for an illithid to be gay, it has to want to do a thing that it cannot do with any other member of its species? A heterosexual illithid has to want to make half-illithid somethings, and a gay illithid has to want to make half-illithid-illithids? In order to not be a gay illithid, you have to be interested in bestiality, or be asexual.

This is why terms for sexual orientation should not be applied to asexual species PK!

Is that what you call it when illithids kiss each other or attempt cannibalism?

If by "dirty thoughts" you mean "putting an evil tadpole in a humanoid creature's ear and letting it devour their brain then take over the body", sure.

Yeah, he was greatly dissapointed when I told him that (he's not a D&D player).

Haha I used to be allergic to flower sperm. Not anymore though.

And how do you know that mind flayers are asexual? Did you figure it out the hard way?

Messily eating someones brain is one way of dirtying his thoughts.

Head Crab vs Mind Flayer: Grudge match from the unspeakable beyond.

I reflavoured Mind Flayers in my game so that they basically are head crabs.

Instead of being squid-faced humanoids who eat brains they are small, squidlike creatures that eat brains and then crawl inside the hollowed out skull like a hermit crab. Once firmly attached they use the body as both tool and vehicle until it starts to feel a litlte snug at which opoint they move on to a knew one…again, just like hermit crabs.

One of the benefits is that a mind flayer now be virtually any creature, not just a medium-sized humanoid. My next campaign will likely see a Mind Flayer Ancient Dragon as it's main villain.
