Our DM is a huge Steelers fan & will delay/cancel games based upon their schedule. I was looking forward to our game not being affected this season.

1) Oakland Raiders (I've been a fan since before they left Oakland!)
2) New England Patriots (my mom and her parents are die-hard fans; they all grew up in New England)
3) Kansas City Chiefs (Been a fan since the days of Christian Okoye)
That last one's kinda handy since I now live in the middle of Missouri and detest the Rams.
Things are actually looking up for the Lions this year, and it's not just the cornbread like the previous decade or so. The defensive front line is going to be absolutely dominant with Su and Fairley shoring it up.
Like the Dolphins, things can't help but look up for the Lions. Of course, the same can be said about my Raiders

That's why I think it will be a good game. Both teams need a win to set the tone for the season. Rookie quarterbacks can be pretty fickle. The Chargers need it because all these seasons of losing the first 3 to 4 games has to end sometime.

Although I have to say I'm liking the Hasselbeck signing... let him get murdered while our coaches figure out there stuff, and then when we cart him off the field for the final time, let the rookie Locker get in there and get his uniform dirty a little.
While I have high hopes, I don't expect alot out of this season. Just no 6-game losing streak is all I ask!!

What? Man, they really need another bruiser of a running back to try and duplicate some of that Wildcat magic from a couple of years ago. Huh? You say Reggie Bush isn't a bruiser? You say that he's not even really a running back? More of a too-short slot receiver that comes out of the backfield? That he can't even block? That he's grossly overcompensated? Oh, I guess I get it now.

Sometimes they win 4 games in a row in pretty dominant fashion... to pretty good teams. Then they play a crappy team and they get jail-style-raped.

) The Vikes signed McNabb. (Yeah, I know. We're becoming the place QB's go to retire.)

McNabb's actually a good fit for the Vikes if they have a couple of decent (don't even have to be good) receivers. McNabb's still got 2-3 good years left in him and he's savvy enough to be able to take pressure off AP, both in the locker room and on the field, without having to be "The Man".

You don't even really need a downfield receiver. All you really need is (in addition to the TEs) somebody who can reliably catch 3-5 passes a half and average ~8-12 yards/catch.
If Stafford can stay healthy at QB all year, they may actually be a really good team.
