#1 october_darkness Jul 10, 2009 21:37:33	I'm signed up for: Political Science: American Government General Psychology English 92 (Basic Composition and Reading) I only took the Basic English because I'm not big on taking electives "in order to graduate". I think some counselors are really stupid, and must hate their job... so they purposely make their interviews difficult. What are you taking this coming semester?

#10 dirtyfrank Jul 11, 2009 1:11:45	I only need two more classes for transfer credit and only need 6 units in order to tutor at the college. Taking more units is kind of a waste. Sort of.
#11 sigil_beguiler Jul 11, 2009 1:22:34	Taking the year off to work (mainly since final decision to switch schools was too late for signing up). However, I am planning on taking mainly Anthropology and Sociology courses. With a focus on majoring in Sociology and minoring in Anthropology. I will probably take some fun courses as well, like the Cyberpunk (technically called: Science Fiction: Tomorrow or The Day After: This seminar will examine science fiction based in the present or near future in the context of artificial intelligence theory, economic possibilities and biology) literature course (if I can worm my way course wise into it)

#13 october_darkness Jul 11, 2009 18:30:09	Wow, you people have some light course loads. Significant other, 32 hour work-week, and 2 hours of studying a day right now is killing me. I'm really disliking the summer semester I'm currently in. I've only got 20 more days, then I get a 2-3 week break.... and back to school. YAY!!!!!!!
#14 dirtyfrank Jul 11, 2009 19:03:49	Dude, don't scare me. I have to ask: what does that "92" or "101" mean? It's just how courses are categorized. Different colleges will use different categorization methods. Some will use English 1A English 1B and such while others will use English 300 English 301 English 302 The numbering doesn't always make sense and sometimes isn't in order or there are huge gaps. Physics with no calculus at my college is called something like Physics 310. There are a couple others in the 300's also. The ones with calculus are numbered Physics 410, Physics 421 and Physics 431.
#15 EscherEnigma Jul 11, 2009 20:27:36	At my college they have it broken up with 100-level courses being freshman-level stuff, with 200-level being sophmore, 300-level junior, 400-level senior, and 500-level are graduate courses. Theoretically each department has a sane scheme for why they assign a course to be a certain number, but it's kinda a mystery to everyone else.
