| #2homicidal_squirrelFeb 09, 2012 13:28:39 | Agreed. Totally rigged. |
| #3zombie_babiesFeb 09, 2012 14:09:54 | Yup. The fix was in. All I knows is that there was only one knight on that stage an' he weren't no talk show host or Jedi poser. But damn, Sir Patrick Stewart has certainly gotten old. |
| #4homicidal_squirrelFeb 09, 2012 14:17:07 | Yup. The fix was in. All I knows is that there was only one knight on that stage an' he weren't no talk show host or Jedi poser. But damn, Sir Patrick Stewart has certainly gotten old. Yup, yup, and yup. |
| #5zombie_babiesFeb 10, 2012 7:44:59 | I mean, he was always old. He just never looked it before. Now he looks old. It's sad. |
| #6zombie_babiesFeb 10, 2012 10:32:23 | Sure he looked old, he just never looked old, ya know? |
| #7sfdragonFeb 11, 2012 0:33:48 | fascinating |
| #8The_SilverswordFeb 11, 2012 19:11:59 | a phaser's just no match for a lightsaber! |
| #9zombie_babiesFeb 13, 2012 11:55:45 | Well yeah. Er ... except for that whole range thing. Umm ... and the adjustability deal. And ... that a phaser can also be a bomb of sorts. Oh, and you don't have to have some sort of algae or whatever in your blood to operate one. So yeah, ignoring those four minor advantages, light sabers are certainly better. ;) |
| #10eazy_eFeb 13, 2012 13:22:13 | Qui-Gon every time. There is a 0% chance of him losing. |
| #11homicidal_squirrelFeb 13, 2012 13:28:33 | Qui-Gon every time. There is a 0% chance of him losing. Tell that to Darth Maul ;) |
| #12eazy_eFeb 13, 2012 13:51:16 | I was on topic, my reply was directed at Qui v Picard. Darth Maul was a [Edited], before he gets a spin off as a cyborg But as far as Picard is concerned he may want to mind his tone. |
| #13zombie_babiesFeb 13, 2012 13:53:47 | Many have tried to kill Picard ... and failed. |
| #14eazy_eFeb 13, 2012 14:00:44 | The answer is simple, they are not Qui-gon. Slayer of the hairless (with the minor exception of Mr. Maul) |
| #15zombie_babiesFeb 13, 2012 14:17:43 | Umm ... when Picard got stabbed through the heart, he just got a new heart and went on with his life. Qui Gon? He was removed from existence. Winner: Picard. |
| #16homicidal_squirrelFeb 13, 2012 14:35:05 | The answer is simple, they are not Qui-gon. Slayer of the hairless (with the minor exception of Mr. Maul) Of course the ones who tried to kill Picard aren't Qui-gon. Qui-gon is dead. He can't try, much less actually, kill anyone. ![]() |
| #17eazy_eFeb 14, 2012 10:18:14 | I was on topic, my reply was directed at Qui v Picard. LOL |
| #18homicidal_squirrelFeb 14, 2012 10:51:18 | LOL Looks like you've made friends with our friendly1 neighborhood reporter. You know who woud really curb-stomp Qui-gon? Dr. Beverly Crusher. She'd just administer some antibiotics to get rid of the bacteria infection Qui-gon has and get rid of his force powers. ![]() ______________________________________________________________________________ 1 He doesn'tlike the rest of us either. |
| #19zombie_babiesFeb 14, 2012 11:49:17 | Yup. One Hypo Spray and Qui Gon is Qui Gone. |
| #20eazy_eFeb 15, 2012 11:07:46 | Maybe, but if I were a jedi and some lady spraid something at me I'd cut her in half and throw her down one of the many endless holes in the SW galaxy for some reason. No force powers, but he still has a sword made of pure refined awesomeanium. |
| #21zombie_babiesFeb 15, 2012 12:05:32 | And don't you need the bacterovirallameness or whatever they call it to power a light saber anyway? Qui Gon is so lame. |
| #22eazy_eFeb 15, 2012 13:17:11 | And don't you need the bacterovirallameness or whatever they call it to power a light saber anyway? Qui Gon is so lame. You shut your mouth! He is the animus of Liam Neeson, and he has a very special set of skills for dealinh with the likes of OTTers. As to activating his saber, I'm not sure if he needs them or not. @Res_Man, he could totally deflect it with his lightsaber. |
| #23zombie_babiesFeb 15, 2012 13:29:46 | You shut your mouth! He is the animus of Liam Neeson, and he has a very special set of skills for dealinh with the likes of OTTers. As to activating his saber, I'm not sure if he needs them or not. You know why Liam Neeson took the role? Cuz he couldn't get a Star Trek gig. Not cool enough. @ZB: So Jedis are people with magical AIDS? Yeah. That's why I kinda feel sorry for 'em. Their 'powers' are manifestations of a disgusting infection. I imagine it's tough to get laid as a Jedi. Every chick around knows you're full of bacteria. And it really, really negatively impacts your fashion sense and hair style choice. Like, epically. Poor Jedi. So sick. And the worst part? The wretched infecting agent controls their minds. Makes 'em think that living as a Jedi is good for them when, in reality, it's just a mechanism to keep the virus or whatever alive. Kind of like those fungi and bugs an' stuff that can zombify ants. Jedi's brains are totally taken over by the disease and they ... they aren't people anymore. And then the powers that be in the galaxy abuse this insane devotion by pretending to respect the Jedi in order to get them to do their bidding. It's really sad. |
| #24eazy_eFeb 15, 2012 13:37:25 | I'd make the trade every time. I'd love the abilities it grants...no way I could adhere to the Jedi way, but I'd try and get them to believe I would. |
| #25zombie_babiesFeb 15, 2012 14:11:32 | I'd make the trade every time. I'd love the abilities it grants...no way I could adhere to the Jedi way, but I'd try and get them to believe I would. That's the problem. It's a disease, man. You can't control it. Once infected you have no choice but to follow the Jedi way. And the worst part? It'll make you think you like it. |
| #26eazy_eFeb 15, 2012 14:37:06 | Whatever though, as long as my body can do backflips and jump high enough to not need jetpacks it's all worth it. Don't even care if my choices aren't my own ;) |
| #27zombie_babiesFeb 15, 2012 14:57:58 | You will be a happy slave to the sickness. ![]() |
| #28eazy_eFeb 15, 2012 15:09:57 | Exactly. I'd be like an illithid's thrall...perfectly content to obey. |
| #29zombie_babiesFeb 16, 2012 7:46:33 | And they will, too. Cuz they're so, so ... lame. |
| #30eazy_eFeb 16, 2012 10:02:50 | I find your lack of faith (in the bacteria) disturbing. |
| #31zombie_babiesFeb 16, 2012 13:23:09 | Now, now. I have total faith ... that they're incredibly lame. ![]() |
| #32Robin_HoodlumFeb 16, 2012 19:46:55 | There is bacteria in yogurt. If the replicator on the Enterprise "makes" things, how can it "make" yogurt without also "making" life, aka bacteria? And if the replicator can make life, why not replicate a clone army of Klingons? |
| #33zombie_babiesFeb 17, 2012 8:16:39 | Interesting. It also means that they could - if they were stupid enough - likely replicate midichlorians so that they could create their own Jedi. But, like I said, they're too smart to subject their people to slavery to a microorganism. That's just lame and Star Trek is anything but. |
| #34The_SilverswordFeb 18, 2012 19:10:58 | no you dont need force powers to activate a lightsaber, unless Han has force powers!? |
| #35draco1119Feb 19, 2012 22:38:24 | no you dont need force powers to activate a lightsaber, unless Han has force powers!? What do you expect? He did pick up Luke and Obi-Wan in a bar, after all... |
| #36MechaPilotFeb 19, 2012 23:59:07 | no you dont need force powers to activate a lightsaber, unless Han has force powers!? And who can forget this? Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) [spirit]: Yeah, it's me. Use The Force. Force that thing in there. Just like I showed you with those puppets. But don't tell nobody 'cause you'll get in trouble! |
