That happened nine days before I was born, heh. For a time, my 'local' team had what I believe was one of the best - if not the best - shortstop/2B combos in history: Omar Vizquel and Robbie Alomar.  Those guys were something to see.  Amazing stuff.

#14 zombie_babies Apr 21, 2011 13:55:26	Omar was a pretty cool dood, too.  I went to a game on my birthday one year and had seats four rows up from the Tribe on-deck circle.  When Omar was about to be on deck, he'd just kinda wander around and chat with the fans in the area.  He seemed like a genuinely nice guy.  'Course he was still around when the shortstop model changed to a guy that can hit over .300 and blast home runs in addition to having a decent glove.  Kind of a throwback, really.  But man did Cleveland love him.  I watched them trade a lot of guys from the team that made Cleveland happy about baseball after so long and I kept on watchin'.  When Omar was dealt, it was the last straw.  I stopped for quite some time.  I may start up again now, though.  Apparently they're doing ok.  Really playing above level and it'll likely fall off but why not?  I used to love baseball so I'm sure I can again.  And Jacob's field (screw callin' it Progressive) is a really cool place.  Meh, we'll see.
