Interesting.  We used to not be able to, then we were, now we're not again.  Vive la Resistance!

Its really just a matter of whether an ORC wanders by or someone reports the post. Basically pure randomness...

I don't know why you keep assuming that I report anything. You explicitly put out there that it should get reported, so anybody could have reported it.

I work as a dispatcher for a college's police dept but since we're surrounded by neighborhoods we still get a lot of non student related stuff.  So now I think of holidays not in terms of whats being celebrated but by the stupid stuff people do.

July 4th is alcohol and explosives.  Actually most holidays are alcohol and something.

I really wish they would ban fireworks here.

Only holiday I like is Halloween.  Thats because the adjective "slutty" comes in to play a lot.

Didn't read the article but going by the thread title alone, that sucks they can't have the fireworks but given the risk of fires, it's understandable. We don't need to have blazes going like they are out in AZ and NM in another part of the US. One uber-fire is bad enough.

Wait... drought?

Has anyone been paying attention to the ridiculous amount of rainfall and violent storms we've had this year?

Hell the ground is still squishy out where I live, especially in the mornings.

Different areas of the country can have wildly different climates, that included excessive rain and severe drought.

I'm pretty sure a good chunk of georgia and texas got hammered by rains too though. (as that's where alot of our storms usually come from)
