Dec 30, 2008 20:33:37 I think everyone should check out this article on the Kentucky State Record Muskie caught a month ago at Caverun Lake.

The awesome thing is that it is practically as big as the fourteen year old girl who caught it.

(As a side note, I discovered this because my brother-in-law and the stepfather work together at thier primary jobs. I'm not name dropping or anything. )

You should come to Kentucky then. You might accidentally find one that hunts deer and is an expert marksman instead though, if that would be acceptable

Yeah... I was born, raised and still reside in Kentucky, but I'm not a Kentucky type of guy.

We've got an extremely low cost of living, hunting, incredible scenery (though the Eastern half of the state does beat us on that... have you ever heard of the Moonbow?), Southern Hospitality, and a noted reputation for excellent BBQ.

There's a lot to love about this stretch of land.

And I swear that my attempts to persuade people to live in the western parts of Kentucky is not at all a subtle attempt to expand the size of my gaming group. No. Really...

Hey, Kentucky's not that bad (especially in the Western part of the state). One of these I'm going to go to one of those BBQ and Blues (or Bluegrass) festivals in the western part of the state. Where I am now in southern Virginia, all I hear about is North Carolina BBQ and they are oblivious to Kentucky.

Jan 01, 2009 10:43:58 As a side note to the OP, I can remember hanging out with my family on the Licking River about 30 years ago at a site now deep under the surface of the lake. Funny how things change.

Jan 01, 2009 13:38:55 I was born and raised in eastern Ky and now live in the Louisville area. I've fished Cave Run lake before and it is really a beautiful lake.

Kudos to the girl for dragging in that whopper.
