It really ticks me off when people start complaining about furries and go all "Furries sexualize animals." Well guess what, furries have been around forever. Also, when people think of furries they think of those furverted (punny ain't it) roleplaying games, comics, ect. Guess what, Snoopy is a furry and noone finds Snoopy sexy, unless their crazy, or really drunk.

The second part of my rant: Dragonborn. Shut up already, dragonborn did not add furries to D&D. Werewolves and the like added furries to D ampersand D.[/rant]

This really isn't one of my better rants.

Eh.  Not all furries are about the sex.  Some are.  Possibly even a lot.  But whatever.  Thing is, though, furries don't sexualize animals.  They (sometimes) sexualize anthropomorphic animals.  Big difference.  It's the difference between having Bugs Bunny turn your crank and Babe turn your crank.  Furries aren't into the latter, the former they might be.

I'd also like to point out, that although this is a few years old I still support this statement.

I like anthropomorphic animals, and usually have a few anthro races in my games, they are a fun addition.  Anthropomorphic animals are a useful shorthand for certain personalities types.

And Usagi Yojimbo is a fantastic comic, give it a read, it is anthropomorphic animals done right.
