| #1IdolisSep 23, 2010 22:43:45 | Athlete dies playing "choking" game. |
| #2Ragnar_LodbrokSep 23, 2010 22:45:13 | I could have told you that. |
| #3pigknightSep 23, 2010 22:50:28 | Can you spell "****"? |
| #4IdolisSep 23, 2010 23:00:34 | I mean, I just don't know if I should laugh or cry. I guess I could be happy they're removing themselves from the gene pool but I just can't get over how stupid this is. If this is the kind of stuff kids are into today it makes me worry about the future of this world. |
| #5EscherEnigmaSep 23, 2010 23:05:09 | Using a bowflex machine? Idiot. You're supposed to do it with your hands so when you start to pass out you lose your grip and start getting air again. |
| #6pigknightSep 23, 2010 23:08:54 | Using a bowflex machine? Idiot. You're supposed to do it with your hands so when you start to pass out you lose your grip and start getting air again. ... |
| #7EscherEnigmaSep 23, 2010 23:14:57 | What? As in most things, there are safe(er) ways to try and get a risky high, and their are unsafe ways to try and get a risky high. This happens to be a way where the guy was stupid about it. Anytime you're going for an asphyxiation high (on it's own, while masturbating, with a partner, with a partner during sex, or any other way) you need to make sure that when you start to pass out that by letting go your release the tension on your neck, or have a partner that knows what the **** they're doing (though asphyxiation-play is always somewhat risky). And before you ask, no, I don't know through personal experience. I know because I talk and listen to people into things that I'm not into. |
| #8fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:16:53 | WHAT. THE. **** Those are the kinds of people that give teens a bad name. Dbag. |
| #9IdolisSep 23, 2010 23:21:44 | Oh I forgot about the sexual angle to it. Still, pretty damned stupid but I guess some experimentation is to be expected but like EE said, if you're going to do it at least do it the right. Or is the danger part of the attraction? |
| #10fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:25:46 | It's the danger. We teens feel invincible. Some channel that feeling into what we do, like sports or D&D. others are born defective and end up drunk driving off a cliff. |
| #11EscherEnigmaSep 23, 2010 23:26:46 | Eh, the danger is an attraction, but like most "dangerous thrills", you can be safe and suspend your disbelief, or you can be risky and risk ending up dead. |
| #12joe_puff74Sep 23, 2010 23:26:56 | As a band kid currently in high-school, I've done my fair share of stupid s**t. But I mean COME ON? at least we dont do idiotic stuff. We do have some "class" about us when we**** into people's sunscreen or shove a condom in someone's flute. I mean GFD!! They give teens, stoners, and people like us a bad name. |
| #13fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:28:01 | As a band kid currently in high-school, I've done my fair share of stupid s**t. AMEN BROTHA! *puffs on a joint* |
| #14joe_puff74Sep 23, 2010 23:31:37 | AMEN BROTHA! Join the Cause!! *insert maniacal laughter**plays saxophone* BTW... you loose a portion of your sanity and sanitariness in band... |
| #15fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:35:52 | Unfortunately, not your virginity. |
| #16IdolisSep 23, 2010 23:37:37 | Excuse me, but what does it say about you when you can't get on the band? *shifts uncomfortably and loosens his collar. |
| #17EscherEnigmaSep 23, 2010 23:39:19 | Well, if you can't get on the band, then at least you can't fall off the wagon. |
| #18fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:39:39 | You sit in the corner cutting yourself while being beaten up and listening to my chemical romance. |
| #19febbstalicious42Sep 23, 2010 23:40:17 | You sit in the corner cutting yourself while being beaten up and listening to my chemical romance. And then people like me make fun of you. |
| #20fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:42:40 | YAY I WAS QUOTED![]() |
| #21IdolisSep 23, 2010 23:42:55 | Thank god, I made it on the football and wrestling teams, I would have hated that. Still, band would have been pretty cool. |
| #22joe_puff74Sep 23, 2010 23:42:55 | You sit in the corner cutting yourself while being beaten up and listening to my chemical romance. im not a Cutter, in fact, most of my band friends aren't. and my school doesnt have a wrestling team... |
| #23fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:44:42 | I didn't call you a cutter.... unless... You listen to my chemical romance? |
| #24joe_puff74Sep 23, 2010 23:47:27 | I didn't call you a cutter.... i know you didn't, but i was saying that. ANd when half of your actual friedns are emo and cutters, you really come to like My Chemical Romance. SO its kind of forced. My fav music has to be like the old stuff (Metallica, Lords of Acid, Korn, and others) |
| #25fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:49:44 | Ah, like after playing fallout 3 for 30 hours straight you start to like 50s music. |
| #26joe_puff74Sep 23, 2010 23:51:52 | pretty much, yeah. Its a curse Im afraid. Im one of those people that has friends in every chaste of the school-hierarchy. Whats weird about ours is that the prerps/jocks dont run the school. The jocks/band kids run our school. Its awesome... ![]() |
| #27fsjalSep 23, 2010 23:56:03 | My school is pure anarchy. |
| #28joe_puff74Sep 24, 2010 0:00:31 | i live in NW Florida, in like the woods... so my school is full of idiots that do that kind of stuff and bring shotguns to school. Wann know something stupd?: One of our ESE kids stole a ganitor's golf cart and drove it 2 miles down the road when we had a fire drill. ![]() |
| #29EscherEnigmaSep 24, 2010 0:02:11 | Thank god, I made it on the football and wrestling teams, I would have hated that. Still, band would have been pretty cool. Hrm. I was just in band. The wrestling coach randomly asked me if I was interested freshmen year, but I was terrified that being in close sweaty proximity to other guys would have let slip a secret I was keeping at the time1. In retrospect I think I missed a great opportunity, but alas, what can you do? ________ 1Adult me realizes this almost certainly wouldn't have been an issue2, but teen me thought otherwise and was scared shitless of just the possibility. 2Despite what sports porn would have me believe. |
| #30fsjalSep 24, 2010 0:03:03 | I live in LA. I have PE after lunch. I like to get there on time. However, I i go to the locker rooms too early the drug dealers will beat me up. No lie. |
| #31IdolisSep 24, 2010 0:08:56 | Thank god, I made it on the football and wrestling teams, I would have hated that. Still, band would have been pretty cool. Wrestling was pretty fun. Never got to actually wrestle in a meet because I was in the heavy weight division just barely which meant I was too light for the division to actually wrestle and too heavy for the next lower division. I got my weight down toward the end of the season but injured my toe in practice. Still, practices were great and wrestling guys that had 25, 30 and 50 pounds on me and holding my own did wonders for my self esteem. |
| #32fsjalSep 24, 2010 0:12:48 | I would wrestle, but I weigh 84 pounds, have no upper body strenghth, and hate sports but other than that ya! |
| #33fsjalSep 24, 2010 0:15:31 | Yeahhh. The trick is to walk quickly, eyes down, and if someone asks for a dollar, give it. |
| #34Mad_JackSep 24, 2010 3:39:59 |
"Old stuff"... heh. Perspective, sonny, perspective - Mozart and Perry Cuomo are "old stuff". Out of that list up there, only Metallica gets to be called "old stuff", and even then that's only their 80's albums. On the subject of the OP: What the hell ever happened to just spinning in circles until you passed out like we used to do when we were kids? |
| #35pluisjenSep 24, 2010 4:02:01 | The good part about this kind of stupid, is that it is a self-solving issue. Yay Darwin Awards! |
| #36KlirshonSep 24, 2010 6:39:35 | I am inclined to concur. Also my database recalls a scene from Full Metal Jacket where "Gomer Pyle" gets choked. |
| #37oxybeSep 24, 2010 15:00:00 | it's not like adults around the world aren't any better: www.cracked.com/article_16314_nectar-bro... read the part about chaanga. humanity is constantly trying to win a darwin award. always has, always will be. |
| #38IdolisSep 24, 2010 15:12:58 | it's not like adults around the world aren't any better: www.cracked.com/article_16314_nectar-bro... That...that....that's just crazy. |
| #39KlirshonSep 24, 2010 15:34:37 | It is a natural process. It is only lamentable for humanity if these fools breed and continue the cycle of idiocy. |
| #40pigknightSep 24, 2010 16:38:23 | Korn is old? |
| #41EscherEnigmaSep 24, 2010 16:45:07 | Didn't they form before you were born, PK? |
| #42Robin_HoodlumSep 24, 2010 17:17:04 | It's not unheard of that homeless people drink mouthwash and other stuff to get drunk (well the alcoholic ones). Sad really. It's not just homeless people. |
| #43Robin_HoodlumSep 24, 2010 17:26:02 |
Nope. |
| #44Robin_HoodlumSep 24, 2010 22:50:47 |
Really? I wouldn't wish that level of addiction on anyone... even you goldo. And I feel bad for anyone who has a loved one in that terrible of a condition. It must be horrible... |
| #45pluisjenSep 25, 2010 4:42:41 | I only wish those kind of drinks were more fatal but to speed up the cleansing of the gene pool and to ease the suffering of those morons. |
