I guess you could blame the father. He should have taught the kid how to drive, so he wouldn't get stopped by the cops in the first place.

My state worries me sometimes...then I remember to at least be thankful I'm not in Florida.

Hey, at least our kids aren't driving around. They stay home and get drunk like a responsible toddlers should.

I was a very responsible and mature child... I didn't start drinking until I was twelve and driving until I was thirteen.
(And I've still yet to do both at the same time.)

Hey, at least the little girl was in the back seat, not the front seat.

Normally I would agree with this, but it should be noted that this happened in Louisiana and the guy was from Mississippi.

This is why we should allow people to drink while they're driving.  Think about it: he gets hammered before starting out cuz he knows it'll be a long haul and he won't be able to get his drank on.  If he could drink while driving, he may not have been drunk until he got to Texas!  Then the kid wouldn't have had to drive nearly as far.  Fix the drinking laws now!  Thinks of the childrens!

Pretty sure one of the charges was an open container in the vehicle...

He was being lazy. He could have thrown it out the window.

That's why he should have tossed them out before he fell asleep and let the kid start driving.

But that would be rational.
