This thread is to be a discussion and haven for fans of the popular Dungeon comic Downer. I want people to talk about their favorite characters, potential adventures in Oubliette, and, potentially, stat out some of the characters in the comic based on what they have shown. I have purchased Downer: Wandering Monster and read it through and through. I love the idea that Hunter pitches in the beginning. It's that, to monsters, adventurers are eco-terrorists. "My mother was the most beautiful medusa in the stone grotto until a frothing mountain dwarf barbarian and his high elf wizard chump of a friend magic missled her and chopped her head off!" My favorite character, outside of Downer, would have to be Benzinger Kalro. He's really the man. His dialogue is by far the best ("He threatens to queer the whole deal"), and he seems to have the Faustian schemes of the city well in hand. I'm confident that he has a few more levels of sorcerer than the average rakshasa, as well as some levels of rogue. He might even be an arcane trickster. My friend and I are considering running a game based in Kyle Hunter's world. Any suggestions?
