| #1dirtyfrankJan 29, 2009 16:29:40 | So I’m sitting here drinking some tea, and I started to wonder what other types of beverages do people like. I’m curious to what drinks yall like? Is it tea, soda, fruit juices, alcohol, milk shakes, plain ol’ water, or something that I left out because I'm an idiot? |
| #2m-barkJan 29, 2009 16:53:53 | Apple juice. Or cider if I want to go with some alcohol. |
| #3KobajagrandeJan 29, 2009 16:59:04 | In no specific order, favorite drink from each category: Coffee: Turkish coffee with a dash of cinnammon. Tea: Black tea. Fruit juices: Anything cherry-based Sodas: Bitter Lemmon. Wines: Tawny Port Alcohol: Brandy and Jagermeister (mixed with said bitter lemmon soda during summer) Water: Tap water. |

| #7gopherofpernJan 29, 2009 17:09:09 | Juice, specifically orange or grape. Milk, flavoured or otherwise. Coke. Scotch. Beer. Water. In that order. |

| #10toastedamphibianJan 29, 2009 17:30:27 | Fail. Find a way to make butterscotch drinkable then return. Edit: Erm, please? |

| #18Dark_StrykeJan 29, 2009 22:40:13 | Usually water or milk. I loves me some moo juice. I enjoy a good ale, and whiskey. I like tea and hot chocolate, and only recently started drinking coffee. Even then only occasionally. Fruit juice and soda (or "pop" as we canadians tend to say) I don't drink very often, but I don't think there are many standard beverages I would turn my nose up at. |
| #19Lord_VentnorJan 29, 2009 22:41:11 | I've actually become enamored with flavored water, of all things, since I've come to college. I'm actually weaning myself off of soda using it. |

| #34calronmoonflowerJan 31, 2009 18:22:40 | Well I don't like the taste of alcohol and generally try to avoid caffeine do ton insomnia. I do like the following. Cherry Coke, Why don't that make a decaf version? It's one of the few decaffeinated things I will drink.Mocha coffee, decaf only. I don't find this stuff often. ![]() Bottled sweat tea: Unfortunately I cannot find an decaffeinated version of this either. Diet caffeine-free Mountain Dew: I actually like this stuff and it is the majority of what I drink. Lemon aid: They have this in the soda machine at work. |
| #35Mad_JackFeb 01, 2009 18:47:31 | Arizona Green Tea... I buy it by the gallon, and drink at least two gallons a week. I also drink alot of water, and although I don't drink anywhere near as much milk as I used to (as a kid during the summer, I'd sometimes kill almost a gallon a day) I still drink at least four glasses a week. I don't generally drink alcohol, but I do have a bottle of Peachtree Schnapps and a bottle of Absolut Peach in the house... A single bottle lasts me usually four or five months, lol. |
| #36fenrir7139Feb 01, 2009 18:53:09 | I love slushies. I don't ****ing care if its -4 degrees out, dammit! I want my delicious, brain-freeze inducing drink! |

| #43dirtyfrankFeb 02, 2009 15:33:10 | wrong, diet soda is the only good soda, everything else is WAY TOO sweet... The sweatners in diet soda is unhealthy and plus to me most diet sodas taste as if your drinking soda that was filtered with something like cardboard. |
| #44zombie_babiesFeb 02, 2009 15:43:30 | The sweatners in diet soda is unhealthy and plus to me most diet sodas taste as if your drinking soda that was filtered with something like cardboard. I always thought diet sodas were diet because they let you taste more of the can. Lighter product means more metal taste. Yummy. ;) |
| #45minja_dupFeb 02, 2009 16:02:56 | The sweatners in diet soda is unhealthy and plus to me most diet sodas taste as if your drinking soda that was filtered with something like cardboard. The excessive sugar in regular soda is unhealthy. Life is unhealthy. |
| #46zombie_babiesFeb 02, 2009 16:05:30 | Worrying about your health is incredibly unhealthy. |
| #47dirtyfrankFeb 02, 2009 16:10:41 | The excessive sugar in regular soda is unhealthy. Life is unhealthy. Unhealthy but better than artificial sweetners that the body doesn't know how to properly deal with. Plus, the sugar makes it taste better. |
| #48minja_dupFeb 02, 2009 17:31:17 | Unhealthy but better than artificial sweetners that the body doesn't know how to properly deal with. This is a debate that I don't think is necessarily settled. |

Once, after playing D&D till about 4AM, my friends and I decided it was a good idea to hike 15 minutes to the nearest 7-11 to get slushies in the middle of a freakin' blizzard! The clerk at the store called us heroes. It was a good day. |

I also like grape drink. not grape juice, grape drink. the one that comedian (i forget who) says is made of sugar, water, and purple. YUMMY! also, diet soda is the way to go for me. and for all of those health food nuts, just read my sig to know how I think about it. |
| #62dirtyfrankFeb 10, 2009 13:01:29 | but eating somewhat healthy and exercising makes ya feel good and energetic. |

| #67Cpt_MichaFeb 10, 2009 14:05:06 | Excercising for the win. Much more fun than the eating healthy part. That's why I just eat portions and not "as much as I can stuff my face with ". |
| #68dirtyfrankFeb 10, 2009 14:06:24 | "as much as I can stuff my face with ". But this is endurance training. ;) I am drinking tea. |

| #81jasonorlandohawkFeb 14, 2009 2:43:17 | Dr. Pepper... ...ironically, b/c it's better for my health! I used to drink a LOT of milk, and then I discovered a family predisposition to kidney stones. Sodas might still aggravate the problem, but not nearly as much as milk products. Juice is ok... apple or grape, but I don't really crave it. Other sodas: Sunkist, 7-up, Sprite, & Pepsi (only @ Arby's for some reason) -I occasionally drink other sodas, but these are the main ones that occasionally (and I stress 'occasionally') can pull me away from Dr. Pepper. NO DIET SODAS!!!! EVER!!! DIET is a 4-letter word, and I will not put up w/ that kind of language in my company! Tea: never really drink it. Not a fan... Water: Plastic Water Bottles are a problem for the environment, and the nearest recycling center is too far away... The tap is decent, but unless I'm in the mood for Kool-Aid, it's probably not happening. Alcohol: Won't touch the stuff. At. All. Long story... don't mind if others drink, but I won't, and I prefer that it not be brought into my company. Milk: My long-lost love... I want to consume milk (NOT skim... another 4-letter word), but I know the pain that it will cause. Thus, I must live apart from my milk... (but I still eat Ice Cream... I may pay for it several times over, but... it's Ice Cream! How am I supposed to resist that?) |
| #82dirtyfrankApr 09, 2009 23:52:20 | I don't know why but I've really been liking tea lately. I guess it's good or something. Oh, I've also been drinking a lot of Coffee. Good stuff that is. |
| #83minja_dupApr 10, 2009 8:57:46 | NO DIET SODAS!!!! EVER!!! DIET is a 4-letter word, and I will not put up w/ that kind of language in my company! What are you talking about? Diet sodas rule!!!! Diet Dr. Pepper. Yumm. Vault Zero, Sprite Zero, Diet Sunkist, Fresca all are awesome! |

| #85TheMonkApr 10, 2009 16:17:57 | Water, mineral water. Orange juice sometimes, but only the juice I squeeze out of oranges myself. |
| #86ellorinApr 11, 2009 4:39:42 | Just give me my tea. |
| #87ocarina_guyApr 14, 2009 0:53:29 | The heady beverage of success. That's my poison. |
| #88adelbert_megaphoniaApr 14, 2009 3:11:14 | I'm not picky. Tea: I like Darjeeling, Rooibus or Oolong, and drink enough of those three alone to satisfy my share and two or three haters'. Coffee: If it's not amaretto, and not strong enough to dissolve tar, it's a go. Juice: Undoctored tomato, grape or pineapple, preferably, but I'm happy with most. Except cranberry. ![]() Milk: Yes. Soda: Eh. I like most kinds, but I don't have it very often. I find I appreciate it more when it's been awhile since the last one. For that reason, diet and I have parted company without regret. Alcohol: I've never met a beer, lager or ale I really liked, but I can be persuaded to drink a Guinness if I'm already partly lit. I like liquor better--rum, vodka, and gin--but even then I'm choosy. I've never seriously tried wine yet. Right now I'm drinking a nice glass of H2O. My kitchen faucet is equipped with a filtration unit, so a lovely, tall water is just a few steps away. I'm also unabashedly fond of Kool-Aid. |
| #89dirtyfrankApr 14, 2009 3:16:56 | I went through a kool-aid phase once. It was about all I drank for a while. After some serious thought I decided drinking about a gallon of kool-aid a day probably isn't too healthy. |
| #90demiteddybearApr 14, 2009 4:45:05 | Tea, followed by tea, and then more tea and then perhaps a tea backer. Although over easter I did have a cup of coffee because the smell of the beans was tempting me, after I finished I remembered why I don't drink coffee anymore ![]() |
| #91Reg06Apr 15, 2009 0:08:57 | I like water, 2% milk, and cranberry juice. Those are the only non-alcoholic drinks I will purposely consume. Beer and wine make up most of my beverage diet (not counting water, which is split about 50/50 with alcohol), as long as it isn't swill. Discounting Jagermeister and Chartreuse I haven't met a liquor I didn't like. Nah, Scotch Whiskey. So much to learn my young padawan. |
| #92demiteddybearApr 15, 2009 2:29:54 | So much to learn my young padawan. Actually both spellings are correct based on which country you're in. In Ireland, its spelled whisky and in Scotland its spelled whiskey. What you should have corrected is that you should never call it scotch, plus calling it scotch whiskey is a bit redundant, its like saying I like to drink wet water. |
| #93Reg06Apr 15, 2009 20:52:27 | Actually both spellings are correct based on which country you're in. In Ireland, its spelled whisky and in Scotland its spelled whiskey. What you should have corrected is that you should never call it scotch, plus calling it scotch whiskey is a bit redundant, its like saying I like to drink wet water. It's the other way around. Ireland and America use the "e", Japan and Scotland (Canada too?) don't use the "e". I generally don't refer it as Scotch Whisky, but just scotch (which you seem to have a problem with?). |
| #94KillerGMApr 15, 2009 21:09:36 | I like tea. I really like this chai and vanilla chai, but I'm always trying new flavors. I had some eggnog-flavored tea over the holidays, but it wasn't very good. I also have started drinking diet soda. Diet cherry coke, diet cherry dr pepper, diet cherry vanilla dr pepper. I like the flavored sodas more because they don't seem to leave an aftertaste. I'm glad I don't drink regular sodas as much anymore - I can already see the difference (well, I could before I went on vacation and blew that out of the water :P). |
| #95adelbert_megaphoniaApr 16, 2009 3:32:14 | I went through a kool-aid phase once. It was about all I drank for a while. After some serious thought I decided drinking about a gallon of kool-aid a day probably isn't too healthy. I found some little single packets of it at the grocery store. A dozen packets of powder in a box, each packet makes a twelve-ounce glass of Kool-Aid. It only comes in four or five flavors, but that's good enough for me. |
