Hey guys, as the title suggests I am looking for a group.  my current group have left my friend and I wanting to play with pple who appreciate the game and wat to have fun and enjoy the game instead of killing braincells and wasting time pulling leroy jenkins and similar noob moves.  In any case, we are fairly new to the game and have just started playing the first campaign titled keep on the shadowfell.  I am an elvish ranger (archer build) and my friend is a human wizard (control/ summoner).  We look to play by the campagn books with a possibility of some homebrewed adventures in the future.  We are located in Brooklyn NY so pple from the NYC area are welcome ot join us.  We need a DM who knows what to do and other players to fill in the roles needed for a balanced team.  We are also willing to play on a once per week basis but can settle for 1 a month as well.  Let me know if anybody is interested.  Thanks in advance and i hope to get some people to show that this game is indeed fun.

Have you looked for any other groups on meetup.com? There might be several in the area. Unfortunately, there's none very close to me in NJ.

I've found enworld pretty good for finding UK games, and the majority of that community is US.
www.enworld.org/

If by 'killing braincells' you mean drinking or smoking (any given herb), be warned its not exactly unusual at games run out of a living room. Check ahead what their gaming conditions are like with any group you plan to join if gaming with people getting mashed is not your cup of tea. Some game groups I've known here in London hire a bar out for game nights.

If you are searching for a group then the proper place to post the thread is in the Gamer Classifieds section of the forums.

No by killing brancells i meant sitting and listening to mindless blabber from a ditz ranging from OMG and other assorted blonde quotes coming out a friends gf's mouth for a few hrs a week

and thnx for the suggestions everyone ill be sure to check them out.  fortunately i got someone ot dm and some pe to play but we are short 1 person so i guess one person in the group will have to double up on chars

You can play the game a person short. Just adjust encounters accordingly. Barring that, I suggest you check out the companion rules from the DMG2. It will be a lot easier to keep track of than a second character.

You could put in a VCL request (I think thats in Community Business), but if I were you I'd just let this thread die and repost in the appropriate forum.
