Yes. I've found that a certain subsection of the population tend to use it. They also typically wear TapOut, Affliction, Silver Star, etc gear, get loudly drunk and make general nuisances of themselves. The only time I've ever heard someone I know say it (which has maybe been twice ever), it was as a joke. As in making fun of the statement itself and those that use it. It's all a joke, of course. Just nota very good one.
But I'm often surprised by the kind of things people do that make you wonder if they're making a brilliant sarcastic response to the current state of social affairs, or (usually) are just really douches.
I saw a guy in the tram a few days ago that had specially made pants that literally had the crotch section below the knees. Not even sagging or anything... it just had the crotch below the knees, and then like 15cm or so of the sleeves left. It looked absolutely ridiculous and the guy still had an air of "look at me, such a tough guy" around him.
Yeah, that's what amazed me. It's not something you expect to hear from a D&D player. (Stereotyping, ahoy!)

I think that highlights the trouble nicely. It's a shame that it takes stuff like that for people to get it, though.
