looking for background music?

Aug 18, 2010 11:30:19 OK, in 2 days I have an RPG at my house, and my choice of music ... well lets say its not really in the RPG-mood.

The RPG will be demon: the fallen (old world of darkness) (think Bible: where the fallen angel fell because they tried to help the humans. They get punished & thrown in the abyss. Now (his day and age) cracks open and the fallen angels (a.k.a. demons) escape).

I was thinking stuff like Megaterion, ... - somewhat dark, somewhat religiuous, yet somewhat modern. maybe some new age stuff?

Anybody suggestions? (groups/songs/ ...)

May I suggest, Pantheon (Jupiter's Reign) from Ex Deo, no lyrics, only music.

Good stuff from Karl Sanders (based on egyptian and middle-eastern music).

Aug 19, 2010 7:15:56 What I find works best is using actual background music. Look for a movie or game that fits the mood of your planned game, find the soundtrack for it, and play that.

As long it isn't Lord of the Rings or something equally recognisable, it shouldn't distract from the game.
