 Justice prevails! Laughing

Personally, I think the cops should have shot her phone...

I have nothing against cell phones, but some people can sure be ill-mannered and inconsiderate while using them.

That phone should die and I hope it burns in at least 5 of the 9 Nine Hells.

That might be tough as several of the Hells involve being in places where you have to listen to loud people on cell phones 24/7 ;)

That'll be my own personal hell.

Babies taken out into public, and people on their cellphones.

Meh, babies can't help who they are, and there are times that Mom and Dad can't get a babysitter (would you really trust one of today's dingbat teenagers with your progeny?  didn't think so).  Also, remember that you were a baby once.

But people on cellphones, yammering away in B&N while others are trying to read or relax...grrrrr....

I've never understood why so many people feel the need when talking on a cell pohone to do so at a volume seemingly meant to ensure that the person on the other end could hear them without the phone.

16 hours?  What an ass.

16 hours?  That's kinda impressive actually.  And makes it kinda silly... I'm sure she was going to go to sleep soon anyway.

So the entire quiet car has to sleep on her schedule?  ;)

Nah, but it's kinda like punishing your kid brother for being an annoying ass after he's finally found something else to do.

And it's not like she's gonna learn anything from it, either.  It still had to feel good for the people denied peace for 16 hours to see her escorted off, though.  I guess that's something.  But yeah, bad timing.

If she doesn't even understand why people were having a problem with her she needs therapy. Or a neckshot.

I mean; thinking it's an overreaction is one thing (though still massively stupid) but not understand the problem?

I think the cellphone rotted away all her braincells. Wouldn't be surprised considering how long she's kept it pressed against her ear.

I dont see why the police were needed. Why didnt a member of the train staff just move her out of the quiet carriage, after say... the first 10 minutes? Why let this go on for 16 hours and then waste police time? Or are these unstaffed trains? *confused*

Probably because the train staff aren't allowed to use force and the woman was to dumb to understand that they were talking about her when they reminded passengers to not use their phone repeatedly and so probably wouldn't have listened anyway.

There is nothing wrong with a device such as the cellphone. It is those that abuse them that are the problem. The human was defective.

Yep, and if it were you and it were your job/freedom at stake, would you risk that?  People have a certain responsibility, yes, but there's also a point where that ends.  We are not all law enforcement officers.  Those that are not should not attempt to act as one.  Removing someone from somewhere they are no longer permitted to be really is the police's job.  Keeps it safer for everyone.  You may ask them to leave, demand they do so and then you're really out of safe options.  From there on out, ask the cops to handle it.

Umm ... pretty much exactly this.  *beep beep* *beep* *borp*  I r converterating.
