Our posts were both respectful and on topic. We took the time to explain the reasons that we held the opinions that we did and no personal attacks were even close to being launched. It was a discussion. Additionally, the posts were about as close to on-topic as you can get on any internet forum more than five posts in - let alone one labeled The Off Topic Tavern. The OP is about a hacker group targeting a state's police force. The reasons given by said group were what was being discussed. How's that too off topic? Meh. Whatever.
What it boils down to is this: I don't care what the reporter said if what the reporter said isn't true. Some reading for context would be appreciated, that's for sure. If anything, seeing that the posts were removed because we're not supposed to talk politics (even though we weren't actually talking about politics, we were certainly discussing something closely related) would have been far preferable than the (IMO) incorrect reason implied in the bit encouraging us to remain respectful and on topic. We were. As it was people discussing this that know each other and it's possible one or more parties didn't get to see what was removed before it was, I think that's a bit unfair. For all we know, someone could see that erroneous message and decide that the person they were talking to flamed them or something. And that isn't right.

I feel so disrespected and hated. I'm gonna go dye my hair black, flip it over one eye (an extension might be required) and sing the most emo songs I can find that I got back when I was an angsty teen in the late 90s early 2ks. I may even dig out some of my make-up from when I wore drag last year so I can have properly running mascara and look a delightfully frightful mess. People for miles around will point to my house and say "there lives a sad man".
And then I'm gonna go finish my costume for Anime Expo so I can point to the ceiling while wearing star-shaped glasses and boldly declare "my drill is the drill that will create the heavens!" Because nothing says disrespected and hated emo like boundless and inexplicable optimism.

Yeah, I know ZB. While I didn't get to see your responses. (gee Thanks Orc for being ****ing Stupid. Yeah that's right I"m insulting you Orc for being too stupid to actually do your job appropriately! You are Stupid And I Hope You Get Fired, infact I hope most of your compatriots get the axe too) You see there's this thing called a civl discussion. Infact I'd be willing to wager that had this thread gone on unaltered it would be 20 times more respectful or more, than I will be to you Orcs, from here on in.
