| #1boj0Jan 17, 2009 0:47:30 | You are the only living person in a mall, there are hundreds of zombies roaming around looking for living flesh. 1.You may have one weapon of your choice (assume ammunition is infinite) (Can be from any source [i.e. can be from a game, movie, whatever]) 2.You have any song of your choice playing over the PA while you are destroying the undead. 3.What is the last thing you say before you die? Weapon: My bare hands Song: 3's and 7's by Queens of the Stone Age Final Words: "I hope you choke on my ego." How do you make your final stand? |

| #23minja_dupJan 17, 2009 15:30:11 | Well I figure if I am at the local mall running into zombies, most of them are probably friends of mine; so they deserve an up close intimate and personal stomping.I don't need anything beyond my fists, not that I really know how to use any weapons beside my fists anyway... ... well my feet too. Really I would just prefer to have my workout mix over the PA system, I am not sure how long I would last, but I would make it past the first 3:55 which would be Let it Rock, after that comes Just Dance by Lady Gaga and if I make it that 4:02 then we get to Hot N Cold by Katy Perry. |
| #24dirtyfrankJan 17, 2009 15:35:38 | Well I figure if I am at the local mall running into zombies, most of them are probably friends of mine; so they deserve an up close intimate and personal Wait, wait, wait a second. Are you saying your friends deserve a beating? Is it because they are your friends or because they are zombies at this point? What happened to the nice and kind Minja that is all about helping others? You talk about being nice and peaceful on one thread then beating up friends on the next. |
| #25pigknightJan 17, 2009 17:04:43 | Minja...SHE'S A WIFE...erm..husband BEATER! |

What happened to the nice and kind Minja that is all about helping others? You talk about being nice and peaceful on one thread then beating up friends on the next. Because they are my friends AND they are zombies, so they deserve to be beaten taken out in a more intimate fashion, not by some sci fi mumbo jumbo weaponry. Just up close and personal, as I said. ;) @ Pigknight. If he is a zombie, then yup. :D |
| #27boj0Jan 17, 2009 18:00:29 | Would you rather fight black magic necromancy zombies, or mutated, virus-infected Resident Evil zombies? |
| #28ranadielJan 17, 2009 18:19:32 | Would you rather fight black magic necromancy zombies, or mutated, virus-infected Resident Evil zombies? Black magic zombies all the way for me. The virus zombies have always rubbed me the wrong way. Black magic zombies actually follow rules that I can predict and understand. Virus zombies always seem to just be, "we can do whatever it takes to kill anyone no matter how little sense it makes". Then again I don't watch zombie flicks, so maybe my perception is skewed. *shrugs* |
| #29eldritch_lordJan 17, 2009 18:21:08 | Would you rather fight black magic necromancy zombies, or mutated, virus-infected Resident Evil zombies? Yes. :D My choices? Weapon: Star Destroyer. The song: Bodies by Drowing Pool (if I can't have this 'cause someone else has, then Planet Hell by Nightwish) The last words: This sucks! After taking out all those zombies I'm now dying from the sandwich! |

At last, someone else that isn't afraid to take care of the issue all up close and personal. I am glad to see someone else isn't hiding behind hitech sci fi weaponry at massive distances. Besides, it would make for better dramatic scenery, tension and line delivery. :D |

I am glad to see someone else isn't hiding behind hitech sci fi weaponry at massive distances. So open for debate. I'd take a good gun fight any day over a hand-to-hand, especially when it comes to zombies. Makes them look more like monsters than terrorists. |
| #42NyronusJan 18, 2009 2:04:15 | Weapon: A pool Que. Music: Don't Stop Me Now by Queen Last Words: "David, kill the Queen!" |

I am glad to see someone else isn't hiding behind hitech sci fi weaponry at massive distances. What are you talking about? A nuclear bomb isn't high tech sci-fi weaponry. When I use that thing, it will be a close and personal killing of every zombie within a several mile radius. I'll be giving them one hell of a right hook. ;) |
| #44eldritch_lordJan 18, 2009 3:37:50 | Out of curiosity, how did you intend to utilize a Star Destroyer by yourself? Since it is effectively a battleship, I imagine that using even the weapon systems without a crew would be quite a task.:P You can slave all of the systems to a single bridge terminal, as shown in the Wraith Squadron series of books; all I'd need to do is maneuver it into position and hit the "fire" button. |

I am glad to see someone else isn't hiding behind hitech sci fi weaponry at massive distances. My goal was survival and blowing things up. Both of which are better served by a mech with the ability to survive re-entry and to blow up meterorites. Besides a mech is so much more awesome than your fists.:D You can slave all of the systems to a single bridge terminal, as shown in the Wraith Squadron series of books; all I'd need to do is maneuver it into position and hit the "fire" button. .....Then why the heck does the empire bother with staffing them beyond the console operator, mechanics, fighter pilots, and ground troops? |

You are right, I apologize for not acknowledging everyone whose methods I approve of in the thread. But a lightsaber is up close and personal, although there won't be a lot of blood spatter so the drama drops a bit. ![]() @ Nyronus, I tried that joke on another zombie thread and nobody got the reference. I was kind of disappointed. A cricket bat is also a fine weapon up close and personal, or vinyl for range. |
| #50dirtyfrankJan 18, 2009 10:52:09 | @ Nyronus, I tried that joke on another zombie thread and nobody got the reference. I was kind of disappointed. A cricket bat is also a fine weapon up close and personal, or vinyl for range. Shaun of the Dead? Ya, it's a great move. Have some of you realized at all that things like mechs, space stations, and deathstars don't fit inside of most malls? |
| #51ranadielJan 18, 2009 13:10:40 | Shaun of the Dead? Ya, it's a great move. The mall is infested with zombies, does it really matter if we damage it by bringing in our weapon of choice? -=Edit: As a side note, I'm pretty sure Wing Zero could fit inside some of the larger malls accross the world, especially in its secondary mode. I mean if Sega can fit a theme park in a mall, I'm sure I can fit a mech in one. :D=- |
| #52cherubaddonJan 18, 2009 13:12:19 | Meh - a small mech, say, a firefly or an owen, might fit in the lobby of a big shopping mall, no? But true, the drama suffers. |
| #53pigknightJan 18, 2009 13:19:18 | .....Then why the heck does the empire bother with staffing them beyond the console operator, mechanics, fighter pilots, and ground troops? They have a buncha clones that they don't know what to do with? |
| #54Crimson_ConcertoJan 18, 2009 13:57:06 | The virus zombies have always rubbed me the wrong way. Black magic zombies actually follow rules that I can predict and understand. Virus zombies always seem to just be, "we can do whatever it takes to kill anyone no matter how little sense it makes". Wow, WTF? I think you got that backwards. Virus zombies always follow simple rules, are predictable, and are easy to kill. Black magic zombies are the ones that make no sense at all, never follow any consistent rules, and are basically impossible to kill because even if you blow them up, their intestines will slither towards you and try to strangle you or something or find some other way to still not die no matter how little sense it makes because it's magic. MY answer should be obvious now. Virus zombies are way more fun. :D |
| #55terronusJan 18, 2009 14:02:28 | Music: Ill Bill - Doomsday was Written in an Alien Bible Weapon/Quote: Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a twelve gauge double barreled Remington, S-Mart's top-of-the-line. |
| #56eldritch_lordJan 18, 2009 15:17:28 | ....Then why the heck does the empire bother with staffing them beyond the console operator, mechanics, fighter pilots, and ground troops? Because it takes a heck of a slicer (hacker) to reroute them that way (they don't come like that straight from the factory), and it's very rare that you have unlimited time to float slowly above a planet with no planetary defenses and base delta zero a single ground installment that can't fight back or escape in any way. If it were a zombie infestation in a mall on Coruscant, I would have had to find a different strategy. 'Course, that would probably mean a bunch of zombie Jedi, and that'd be freaking scary. ;) |

| #59eldritch_lordJan 18, 2009 18:59:40 | Could zombies be jedi or would they just be siths? Well, would you prefer fighting diplomatic zombies, or ones that can shoot lightning? I prefer the former. Then why don't they come out of the factory that way? Seems like it would cut down on costs Because of Part 2 of my post--it's almost never useful. The case in question where it was useful was when there was a new Super Star Destroyer under construction, so they got aboard, killed the skeleton crew (zombie crew?), and slaved everything to a single terminal so they could simply point it in one direction and get it out of the shipyards to get a real crew on. And the good guys managed to destroy it easily, so obviously having a single guy doing navigation and combat isn't a good idea. |
| #60minja_dupJan 18, 2009 19:02:55 | If you have a mecha, I think it is only fair that the zombies have them too. :lightbulb |

If I am remembering the same instance as you, the only thing it was supposed to do was point in one direction, and then jump, and even then I think it was partially slaved to another ship. It was massively crippled in actual combat without a crew. Still, glassing a defenseless planet with it would probably work. |
| #65eldritch_lordJan 19, 2009 0:55:22 | If I am remembering the same instance as you, the only thing it was supposed to do was point in one direction, and then jump, and even then I think it was partially slaved to another ship. It was massively crippled in actual combat without a crew. You are indeed remembering the same instance, and that's precisely my point--the only reason it works is that the zombies don't have X-wings and TIE interceptors or any other way to affect my SD at all. I hope. ;) |
| #66ranadielJan 19, 2009 6:53:11 | If it were about survival you would flee. This is about, fun, dramatic tension, and kicking zombie No because the first rule of zombie warfare is that if you turn tail, you will die a horrible death as zombies that you didn't know exist suddenly appear in front of you and eat your kidneys. Survival requires a strong offense with an impenatrable defense. Both of which are provided by a mech far better than any other means....well except maybe the star destroyer......However I am changing my mech choice upon further consideration. Now instead of Wing Zero, I'm taking Xenogears.:D |

| #73crimson_lancerJan 19, 2009 18:31:19 | I like my solution far, FAR better than a simple mech (which my solution would annihilate). |

I still kick them two ways to Tuesday since I traded up for Xenogears. It is a mech powered by the wave existence, which in universe is basically the equivilent of God. So it effectively uses God as a fuel source putting it far beyond other mechs. :P |
