Never cared for Superman.

... I'll probably still watch it, though.

I may catch it in the theater if I happen to have the free time and cash when it comes out, but I don't really have a problem waiting for the dvd or even til it comes on tv...

I dunno, I kinda liked the last one, they kinda tied it in with the old Christopher Reeves ones, pretty kool idea I thought, I think it would been more interestig if they had Superman be gone a little longer and got Margot Kidder and any other actors from Superman I who are still alive, knowhatimena. Not sure how I feel about yet another reboot. I hate reboots, have I ever mentioned that?

Eh.  I don't mind reboots.  What I don't like are them having to do the origin stories all over again.  It's friggin' Superman, we don't need to hear his origin story again.  You can just give us a good movie about him kicking Braniac's ass and we'd all be happy.

Then again...

If them focusin' on origin story means that he keeps that smexy beard for more of the movie, I guess I can tolerate it.

You know him fighting Brainiac is a good idea, I never really thought about it before, but every Superman movie its Superman vs General Zod and/or Lex Luther, well except for that one with Richard Pryor. I mean seriously they need some new villians up in there.

Yes.

Stories where Superman is captain emo and punches people are boring, simply because one cannot physicallly challenge him without lolkryptonite or a few sets of villains that get old fast. Interesting stories involving character challenges and such are much more interesting.

On a related note, I'd love to see the Death of Superman as a movie. Actually, Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow would be better, but either would be fantastic.

Also, totally agree on the beard.

I'd be happy with the death of Superman altogether.  What a terrible character.

Hrm... then again, one of the alt-future DC stories would be pretty good.  Kingdom Come or that other one that I can't thin of the name of.

... when was the last time you actually read a DC comic?

Two-three weeks ago. The last comic of the Before Watchmen series, Ozy, Ror and Doc. Lamez. "They" managed to botched even Ror's end. The other two were lame from the start and the Minute series's plot was too thin.

If you reconsider, only get Rorschach. Great art, just 4 comics instead of 6 and the only one that manages to get close enough to the feeling created by Moore. Even if they botch the end. Stupid tiger.

That actually published under DC?  I'd have figured that would be under Vertigo.

I'm quite partial to Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. The Flash is interesting, too.

Sure, especially those Tootsie Pops where you get to the gooey stuff after sucking on it for a while.

I will allow you this "point and laugh".  For I am generous and kind to the less fortunate.

Remember, New 52? Post-Flashpoint?

I avoid the massive cross-overs.

Is that a new variety of round Pop Tart you're wearing or are you just happy to see me see you practice Nantaimori?
