Is it me or is one of the unwritten rules of man-ethiquette is that you do not talk to strangers in the dressing room. You avoid eye contact too.

I am wondering cause some dude started talking to me in the dressing room after yoga. I'm thinking either he wasn't familiar with man ethiquette or he was gay.

Which was it?

I agree with that rule. Same goes for standing next to each other at the urinals. At first I thought the dude was unfamiliar with etiquette, or I needed more info, but

yoga.

Hot yoga, not your mom's yoga.

And you are right to laugh and you should stay away from it. That will mean more tight beauties stretching out and sweating in front of me.

Really, dood, if you're gonna ogle 'em, you should at least talk to them in the dressing room afterward, instead of starting a thread on the forums about it.

He was gay. You should hook him up with CJ. He's into older guys.

Women are in separate dressing rooms.

There is no talking in the yoga studio.

Oh yeah, I need a box of those after hot yoga. The girl in front of me wore those see through lulu lemon pants today.

She wore pink underwear, but still. All that stretching in front of my face. Oy.

Ok for starters ,YOGA!? Seriously? turn in your man card right now!! You were a leotard and everything?

But anyways, yes, you are correct, it is bad form to talk to another man in the dressing room, or at the urinal, or while taking a dump, amongst other things.

Don't think it's a gay thing.  The only times I've had men talk to me in the restroom was older straight married men12.  I think it's more of a "wouldn't even think of anything sexual, what are you, some kind of pervert?"
________
1Well, okay, there was that one time at the bar during pride weekend when some dude tried to hit on me by saying I looked like Wes Bentley3, but that was at a gay bar during pride weekend on leather night and I was shirtless wearing my harness, so extenuating circumstances, y'know?
2Wait a minute...
3I think that's which one it was.  I was kinda drunk at the time, but when I checked with my SO (while I could still remember the name) he said it was one of the guys from Hunger Games and yes, I was being hit on.

I always encountered men talking in dressing rooms, except in gym. No one talked to each other in gym.
But taekwondo or tai chi, chewing the fat all around.

No talking in the gym!? Must be a cultural thing. Here the gym is a social club for douches. Some talk more than they work out.

And talking during tai chi? How barbaric. That really disturbs the meditative process.

That's called flirting.  If you can't talk without flirting, you have a problem.

I was kidding old pal but no I've been aggressively approached by what I assume to be gay men in the gym before, it seemed like holding a conversation with them was enough for them to think I was on the radar, admittedly I am what they call man-pretty

It is ok to talk to your friends while changing, but not to strangers.
