Batman the Animated Series with very good voice acting, a signature style, great stories (never mind Mask of the Phantasm that outdid some of the live-action stuff). And the list goes on. Now, Marvel has teamed up with Disney. Then I watched (just out of sheer morbid curiosity) the Super Hero Squad. It was painful. To quote Stewie Griffin: "Did you just do a fart joke?" Thoughts? |
| #2IdolisSep 21, 2009 14:39:33 | Sure SHSS is low brow but I just watched it and it was pretty freakin' funny all the same. |
| #3oxybeSep 21, 2009 15:30:05 | haven't seen SHSS but from the previews, it looks like an alternate universe/retelling/reimagining aimed at the younger kids. essentially heroes doing crazy stuff without the angst and drunken powersuit joyrides that come with the territory of superherodom. that said, we need more Batman: the animated series & Gargoyles! dangummit! WB & Disney at their finest animation in the genre, IMO. |

Let's. Get. Dangerous. |
| #5Cpt_MichaSep 22, 2009 7:01:49 | I'm expecting a train wreck out of that relationship myself. Marvel was already screwed up before. Disney hasn't done anything good in quite a while. (Especially compared to the Crap which is steadily streaming out of them on a minute by minute basis) |
| #6d11Sep 22, 2009 8:59:02 | It boils down to Sentry and Superman duking it out, with Batman and Dr. Doom counter Xanatos Gambiting each other, while Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse have a no-holds-barred deathmatch. Which is something I would pay money to see |
| #7EscherEnigmaSep 22, 2009 11:55:51 | People are still freaking out about this? Where's all those comics I had linked before... |
| #8zombie_babiesSep 22, 2009 12:23:21 | Maybe you should draw one. :D I'm thinking a Mickey and Wolverine love story that finds them fighting together to combat the masses that don't accept their union because 'Cartoons' and 'Comics' should never, ever mix. Maybe a mob of white sheet/pointy hat wearing enemies chases them across the nation crying out for purity of content or something. Oh, make sure it's super bloody. And graphic. Yeah. No, I don't have any idea where any of that came from. Such is the price I pay daily for indiscretions past. |
| #9toastedamphibianSep 22, 2009 21:23:18 | Wolverine basically is a cartoon character. Hit him with a steam roller, he gets back up and reinflates, drop an anvil on him and it drills him into the ground, then he cuts his way out, ect. |

I thought that was his mutant powers. :P Also an X-men level of KHs...:D |
| #11Demetri_KnighthawkSep 23, 2009 2:15:45 | As odd as it sounds, it might not be "SO" bad. Disney has access to only 500 of marvels characters, it never said which ones yet. We know disney is not above bloodshed for ratings, mind you I dont expect to see deadpool assassinating Donald Duck any time soon. As for the new cartoon that just came out: it looks like a lot of the figuringes for toddler/preschoolers they have been pushing out for the last 2 years before this, now it just has a child show to go with the child toy. |

I'm not very familiar with this Deadpool guy, but wouldn't it be something he actually would do? |
| #13oxybeSep 23, 2009 8:27:20 |
only if he can get a one-liner or 4th wall breaking hilarious comment in. |
| #14joni-sanSep 23, 2009 12:52:48 | We know disney is not above bloodshed for ratings, mind you I dont expect to see deadpool assassinating Donald Duck Mickey Mouse any time soon. Fixed. Donald Duck is among the few Disney characters that's actually somewhat good (thank you Carl Barx and Don Rosa). Mickey Mouse comes off as a Gary Stu. Also, YOU DON'T **** WITH McDUCK! |
| #15ADHadhSep 23, 2009 15:48:23 | We know disney is not above bloodshed for ratings, mind you I dont expect to see deadpool assassinating Donald Duck Mickey Mouse any time soon. Mickey Mouse as Gary Stu? That's overusing the term. Mickey is just the positive character. But yeah, Donald would probably join forces with Deadpool rather than die. Unless he was roasted and served.

| #16EscherEnigmaSep 23, 2009 16:36:45 | If there's anything Kingdom Hearts taught me, it's that Mickey is a jedi and Donald needs to be kicked in the nose more often. |

Quoted for truf! |
