| #2ciaranNov 02, 2008 2:25:10 | Striker. Big time. |
| #3fenrir7139Nov 02, 2008 4:38:33 | Master Chief is Everything. But, He's just a martial character. Chuck Norris, on the other hand, trancends Power Sources/Roles. His class? Chuck Norris. Power Source? Chuck Norris. Role? Chuck Norris. CHUCK NORRIS RULES YOU! |

| #5doomsoughtNov 02, 2008 14:04:02 | Masterchief is a space ninja with guns. He is a lurker/striker... and something of a brute. He is a character that can only be created by 3.5 gestalts or though equipment use in D20 modern. I have actually made his armor for D20 modern using the powered armor as medium mecha rules. He has a surprise death attack. Damage resistance limited Regeneration He has 5 at will attacks: dual weapon full auto (ranged area VS reflex) single weapon full auto (ranged are Vs reflex) Snipe shot (death attack VS AC or fort, high damage on miss) single shot (attack VS reflex or AC) grenade (area attack VS reflex) He is probably level 30 to 40. Edit: MJOLNIR armor |

Also, he was the "leader" if you will of the Spartans, not the strongest, fastest, best shot. He also had strong leadership skills. Granted, this assumes you're using the novels and graphic novels. |

Actually no, he was just lucky. As for the marines... In halo 3, give the marines a fuel-rod gun whenever possible, it makes them Badasses. Though, if you remember, for at least half of each game, he goes it alone. Definitely a striker or defender. Though because he has mostly area at-wills, eh may be a controller. |
| #8Johnny_AngelNov 03, 2008 15:28:40 | Actually no, he was just lucky. The luck point is a good thing to remember. It's been a while since I've played the games, but I seem to remember Cortana saying something to the effect that she chose to be Master Chief's AI because of a sort of mystical luck that she sensed in him. With that in mind, I might venture to say that a 4E version of Master Chief might include Warlock; there are quite a few powers such as 'Dark One's Own Luck' which allow you second chances at things whenever you fail. He has a lot of defender traits, but a lot of that comes from his armor. Still, I do have to agree that he does have some leadership qualities. He might necessarily be a tactition, but the fact that he's in the fight inspires the people around him,so that could possible be a CHA-based Warlord; then again some sort of Paladin might fit since Paladins have a few leaderish abilities. From what I remember, Chief (and SPARTANS in general) were genetically engineered to be better than regular humans, so that's something to consider too. Half-Elf with some sort of Paladin/Warlock/Warlord mix? I say Half-Elf because a Half-Elf would be something akin to a genetically altered human; however, I suppose Tiefling might work too since -as a SPARTAN- he was a member of a race which was engineered via a different race seeking to have more power. |
| #9kittenstewNov 03, 2008 17:51:55 | Master Chief is BEYOND Chuck Norris. Except that Master Chief is a fictional video game character and Chuck Norris could round-house kick you faster than you can say "Master Chief." Master Chief is totally a defender splashed with leader and striker. I dunno. Definitely started with 18 in Strength, Con, and Dex. I wouldn't stat him high in Int or Chr though. He doesn't really think for himself and isn't particularilly personable. Perhaps a fair amount of wisdom though... |
| #10eazy_eNov 03, 2008 18:00:07 | Yea, it doesn't matter because Drizzt would pwn MC :D I don't like Halo (I'm 17, so I guess I should), but to put him into D&D I would call him a striker. |
| #11doomsoughtNov 03, 2008 18:01:19 | No, The spartan package is something that would provide lots of LA in 3ed and be impossible in 4ed. So 4ed he is a custom monster, but in 3ed++(D20 modern) he is a template human with ranks in strong hero, fast hero, soldier, and gunslinger. so lets see, +5 Spartan Human, strong 5, fast 5, soldier 10, gunslinger 8. Spartan LA +5 Abilities +10 str +10 dex +6 con Skills: +10 spot/listen Powerful build: whenever beneficial, consider one size larger. Cybernetics(included): Fortified skeleton: DR 4/- Stabilizer: automatically stabilize when dieing. Data-uplink Fluff: You are a spartan, the best of humanity, enhanced through tough training and tougher cybernetic and hormone therapy enhancements. |
