#1 darkmyer13 Jun 30, 2008 15:21:42	I don't know how many of you people are into comic books, but I thought to post this in the likelihood that any of you are: Michael Turner, award winning artist, co founder of Top Cow Comics, and creator of the Witchblade and Aspen franchises, passed away Friday from complications due to a surgery recieved in February for a bone related cancer. Michael fought eight long, painful years to survive, all the while working to give his fans every bit of art he could muster. Having just survived a bone marrow transplant for AML, an aggressive form of Leukemia, I can feel inside of me the biting regret of a survivor. He is the reason I and many others love comic books as much as we do, and I will sorely miss his refreshing work, his hard work for cancer research, and his never ending positivity. Rest in Peace, man. You deserve it. #2 bondious Jun 30, 2008 16:07:27	Yeah, I heard about that one the other night from my wife, who either saw it online or from a friend. I wasn't necessarily a "Michael Turner Fan", having never followed any of his books, though I always appreciated his art and the many, many fine covers he did for various titles and companies. Hell, I didn't even know he had cancer, though from many accounts it sounded like he fought it tooth and nail the whole way, which is truely inspiring. I know from personal experience with my mom's bout, and passing, from leukiemia, what a toll that takes on a person and their loved ones. But yeah, 37 years old is WAY too young. My brother will be 37 here in October, and this is yet another sign and example that life is short, and we have to make the best of what we're given.
