Has anyone had any experience with a miniature painting service for just a single or a small handful of fantasy miniatures? I've been wanting to pick up some mini's for my D&D characters but have no paints or painting experience. Rather than taking the time and money out to buy all of the paints/equipment I'd need, I'd rather make use of one of the many services that I've seen scattered around the internet. Unfortunately, the only reviews I've found are from people who got entire armies painted. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these services with just a few mini's and if response time/quality is still good. If anyone does have some, who was it with? Thanks!
#2 Mad_Jack Jan 05, 2011 2:55:56	I've never personally commissioned anybody to paint minis for me, but be aware, you'll pay for the quality you get. There are a number of talented painters out there who do commissions, but I have no idea what sort of prices they charge. Painting armies is sort of a different thing than painting a character mini... Folks tend to specialize in one or the other. You could do a search online for people who take commissions. I'd also suggest asking about it on the Reaper Miniatures forums HERE. A number of the posters on those boards do commissions and would be the best people to advise you on finding a reputable painter who charges a reasonable rate.
