| #2The_SilverswordDec 04, 2011 15:51:11 | ok so i got one too, me and the wife were talking about tunes we like and she mentions Boston's peace of mind, and im like huh? piece of mind? thats Iron Maiden! shes like no,no,no im talking about Boston. So im like well i dont think ive ever heard it, she just gives me this look and then shes says look i know youve heard it they play it on the radio all the time, so then she starts singing it, and im like haha silly woman thats piece of pie, this actually starts an argument and i end up googling it and wouldnt you know it shes right! and of course she gives me that look again! Ive listened to that song for years and years and i always thought dude was singin as long as i get my piece of pie hahaha. so what are some songs that youve misheard the lyrics to? |
| #3Mad_JackDec 04, 2011 19:16:36 | ZZ Top - Tush Everyone always thinks it's "touch"... |
| #4draco1119Dec 04, 2011 21:17:32 | And then there's the famous Jimi Hendrix "Scuse Me While I Kiss the Sky" or... EDIT: I can never remember how to play vids!!! ![]() Here's what I mean, though. |
| #5EscefDec 05, 2011 6:03:40 | How does one mistake "animals" for "ladder boys"? I mean, seriously, that boarders on talent. I've heard of mistaking CCR's "Bad Moon on the Rise" for "bathroom on the right". There are probably at least 15 different versions of "Louie Louie" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit". In Dream Theater's classic "Metropolis Pt1: The Miracle and the Sleeper" I've hear of the lyric "Death is the first dance eternal" being mistaken for "death is the first dancing turtle" (that takes talent, gotta say). |
| #6LFKDec 05, 2011 9:26:53 | Actually, my username comes from a mis-heard lyric from the beginning of this song: |
| #7warghoulDec 06, 2011 1:38:03 | I have a friend who thought Radar Love by Golden Earring was "Red Hot Leather." |
| #8The_SilverswordDec 06, 2011 5:38:35 | am i the only one who thought dude was singing about pie? |
| #9pluisjenDec 06, 2011 8:43:48 | www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg5_mlQOsUQ They actually post videos of misheard lyrics for many songs with silly imagery. It's where I know the concept from. Other then that... I barely ever listen to lyrics, so there's not much for me to mishear. |
| #10LFKDec 06, 2011 12:41:16 | I have a friend who thought Radar Love by Golden Earring was "Red Hot Leather." For years I thought it was "Red Eye Love" like he was taking the red eye flights home, or they were having sex on the overnight flight or something. |
| #11The_SilverswordDec 07, 2011 5:17:26 | How does one mistake "animals" for "ladder boys"? I mean, seriously, that boarders on talent. you know, i couldnt tell you, im kinda wondering about it myself, i mean what is a ladderboy any way? what does this guy think a ladderboy is? what is it about ladderboys that made him feel some connection to the song that he just had to have it, maybe he sees himself as a ladderboy? i really dont know, i'll have to ask him the next time i see him. and thank you for not making fun of me for the pie thing |
| #12The_SilverswordJul 04, 2012 3:46:25 | My wife is real big into this one, shes made me watch it like 5 times already. Im not as amused with it, I actually like that tune and know the words, so it doesnt make much sense to me. |
