In order to avoid more piling on about bad news out of Florida, here is some bad news out of Missouri. I hope you're offended.

If it's a ****ty place, it's a ****ty place regardless of who lives there. Could it have been a racist thing to say? Sure. Is it? You don't know. It really sickens me to see people constantly shouting 'racism!' at literally everything.

See, there's a possible excuse for the choice. And then there's the fact that it's a Missouri politician agreeing with the idea of Illinois getting flooded instead of Missouri (constituents, anyone?).

Next thing you'll say is that if I say someone who said that black people have an IQ of 70, Europeens 100 and Jews 115, is a racist, that I am just speculating and trying to feel superior to him.

Nope, that person would have said something racist. You know, totally unlike what the other guy did. If that town were craptastic and yet the majority of residents were white, would you cry racism? What about if the Senator were black? How about then? What about a black Senator and a crappy town with a majority of whites in it?

I will never understand what makes people think they can be inside of someone else's head to know what it is they're thinking when nothing to the effect was actually said.
