| #3ADHadhSep 17, 2010 14:51:26 | I don't think she's mentally ill, she just wants attention. Or didn't know how acid works and was too ashamed to confess that. |
| #4idhrinielSep 17, 2010 14:54:00 | I feel bad for the other lady. Unless she faked it too. Uh-oh. |
| #5zombie_babiesSep 17, 2010 15:09:30 | Umm ... rubbing high strength acid on your face is, well, a pretty good sign of some sort of mental crisis. Either that or incredible stupidity. Normal people don't typically rub acid on their faces to get attention. They may make up an outrageous story or insert themselves into someone else's converstation, they may even call their mom. But they don't - I repeat, do not - rub high strength acid on their faces and then lie to the police about it. Holy ****balls, man. If that ain't a sign of mental issues, what the **** does qualify? I mean, srsly. |

| #7zombie_babiesSep 17, 2010 15:22:49 | I would say people who have been in Afghanistan, or Iraq have a better chance of being mentally ill. I've heard some pretty bad stories. Plenty of vets an civvies that see war develop issues, yes. That does not mean, however, that mental illness is limited to those exposed to war. She ****ing rubbed acid on her face and then told the cops some random black broad attacked her after spouting off a hack line. Yeah, she just needs a hug. Totally normal. Anyhoo, being in a war or seeing a family member get detonated could well lead to your developing some sort of mental problem. Rubbing acid on your face, though, is a sign you're already mentally gone. |
| #8KillerGMSep 17, 2010 16:09:28 | I agree, Z_B. There are lots of kinds of crazy out there, and putting acid on your face (whether you lie about it after the fact or not) is pretty crazy. |
| #9zombie_babiesSep 17, 2010 16:11:35 | Heh. I just realized I was fixated on the lie after the fact as if that somehow was the deciding factor to the question of mental illness. Sometimes I can be a real dink. ![]() |
| #10KlirshonSep 17, 2010 16:28:04 | So should the thread title now read "More Evidence: People are nuts"? I lack the programming for sympathy in accordance to this story. Perhaps with further investigation I could come to understand the mentality, but for the moment I do not. Thus I can not display pity for the woman. |

| #12QubeSep 19, 2010 16:14:01 | I'dd like to note that those are the effects of very concentrated acid in your face. really nothing compared to what you see in the movies, right? |
| #13Robin_HoodlumSep 19, 2010 17:57:16 | Yes. People suck. |
