True... very true. Don't forget Training Day. He was freaking ridiculous in that movie. I want to see the new one he is in, Safe House. Looks cool as hell.

Me too.  I'd, you know, start naming more but I don't wanna, like, look like I'm showin' off or somethin'.

Yaphet Kotto. Scatman Crothers, Avery Brooks ("Yo, Spensah!") Geoffrey Holder, John Amos, Bill Cosby, Orlando Jones... And let's not forget Kevin Clash. (Goriddle Gorilla to me, probably better known as Elmo these days.)

Avery Brooks ("Yo, Spensah!")

Webby, you just cemented your place as my favorite ORC VCL.  I'll consider anyone who references Avery Brooks as Hawk instead of the Captain of DS9 my friend.  Not that I dislike DS9 (it's actually my favorite of the Treks), but Spenser is so much cooler.

Isaiah Washington, Leon, Cedric the Entertainer, Ice Cube, Ice-T, DMX, Jim Brown, Isaac Hayes, Wesley Snipes...

Blu Mankuma.... Who's quite possibly played a secondary character in any movie that ever had a black man in it.

Still, though, how many of those actors listed have had as successful and widely varied a career as Freeman? The guy's had hits in almost every genre they give awards for.

Jesus.

Jesus was Jewish, not back.
Of course that means that he likely had short, curly hair and a messy beard, not flowing dark blond hair and a well kept goatee.
I.e. he didn't steal my looks.

Black jews exist you know.

Yes, but I think it's safe to assume Jesus was of semitic descent. King David's family and all.
