| #3LFKOct 03, 2011 0:02:52 | That trailer led to a 9 part web sreies that aired earlier this year. www.youtube.com/show/mortalkombatlegacy After the 9th episode they announced that New Line had greenlit a feature set in the same version of the MK world that would be roughly contiguous with (though not predicated on having seen) the web series. |

| #7homicidal_squirrelOct 04, 2011 8:32:11 | Last night I saw episodes 1 - 4 of the web series. I liked them. They aren't the greatest ever, but they are entertaining... and about a million light years ahead of the horrible movies that were previously made. |

I mean other than the French guy playing a Chinese thunder god. ![]() The second one... I saw it the night it came out in theaters (yes, I'm that old). The theater was packed. When the only response you hear to a loud "This movie SUCKS!" under these conditions is laughter, you know there's something wrong with the film. And whichever one had Reptile (I know he was in the second game, but was he in the first movie?), has some of the most awesome techno music on its soundtrack... Made by a former porn star, no less! |

The first MK movie was decent because it was a total rip-off of Enter the Dragon. The second was really bad (but at least the fight choreography was decent). EDIT: And Raiden is Japanese, not Chinese. I think Reptile has been in every MK game made to date (though in the first game was not playable, the only way to face him was to get a Double Flawless Fatality over the Pit). Reptile had a modest role in the first movie and was indeed involved in what is probably the best fight scene in it. |

I blame Big Trouble in Little China for that mistake. ![]() I think Reptile has been in every MK game made to date (though in the first game was not playable, the only way to face him was to get a Double Flawless Fatality over the Pit). | #11ADHadhOct 04, 2011 13:13:12 | So this short film is actually being made into a feature lenght? Huh. Frankly, I've never really cared about MK. I knew it was important when I was a kid, but I didn't like fighting games. Well, not untill I've tried Street Fighter as a teen ![]() |
