How could you forget Neverwinter (yes, it is due out before year's end)?

Batman: Arkham City is a must.  AA is one of the greatest gaming experiences.
Guild Wars 2, although the release may stretch into 2012.
Battlefield 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Stronghold 3

Stretching a bit into 2012:
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Only two things I'm waiting for this year:
Elder scrolls 5 and Starcraft 2 part 2.
After those it's on to Diablo 3, but that's already 2012.
At the moment I'm turning Oblivion inside out again. :D

Hmmm, forgot about Neverwinter, I am going to keep an eye on it. And you did remind me of another great game...Battlefield 3. I prefer Battlefield over Call of Duty Personally.

I am not a big fan of FPS.  They're cute, but really don't differ much game to game.  The core Battlefield series has been one of two exceptions for me (the Descent series being the other).  From the beginning, they have managed to capture the feeling of a battle being strategic and chaotic.  How a 32 vs 32 pvp game captures the essence of this, I can't exactly say, but the ingredients they have mixed together work, and the series tastes beautiful.  I see no reason why Battlefield 3 will not satisfy me greatly.

Elder Scrolls 5 and Guild Wars 2. I don't play video games that often, but these two are definitely on my "must have" list.

GW2 may be revolutionary to the industry.

Certainly looking forward to Guild Wars 2. Finally a game I can play with my friends :P

Also very interested by Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Might have to get it... if I have time. I think it comes out at about the same time as Baby: the Crying and Pooping so it'll take some schedule balancing ;D

And maybe I'll get Duke Nukem Forever, just because. It looks pretty cool.

Congratulations on the new release (well, your wife's new release).  Is this a new IP or a sequel?

Batman: Arkham City
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Journey
Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection
Metal Gear Solid HD collection
Zone of Enders HD Collection

Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy Versus, and The Last Gaurdian all seem to have been pushed back to 2012.

Then it will be the only game I'm looking forward to in 2012.

Just looked up release dates for it and mainly all I can find is TBA 2012. So yeah likely next year.

A leaked timeline from last year had it listed as Q1 2012 and August last year the dev team eyeballed about 18 months release, so I'm anticipating Feb-April.

One place I looked said possible Q2 release so who knows. Maybe we'll have a better idea a few months from now.

I'll add in the Halo 1 Anniversary Edition- nothing like hearing the news, putting on some nostalgia goggles, popping an original copy in, and exclaiming "wow, this is better than Reach!". Its stood the test of time remarkable well.

And Forza 4- Gran Turismo 5 was a huge disappointment for me, so here's hoping they don't screw up this series as well.

Well I guess that gives me more time to put money towrds the pre-order. Did they say why it was held up? Not that I really mind, take longer and have less bugs is a good idea.

I'm not sure, tho it might have something to do with that fact it will have Kinect support.

Voice commands ftw. Assuming the tech works correctly. (Though with some of the Kinect support I've seen so far, I'm not too worried about that)

There are some I'm looking forward to.

Arkham City
Uncharted 3
Sykrim
Moder Warfare 3
Resistance 3

As for what I'm looking froward to most out of those, it's probably a tie between Arkham City and Uncharted.

I don't think Duke Nukem revolves around how good is. More about how bad it is.

Not a really good thing to base a game on, though... at the least you should make the gameplay non-frustrating. But well, you can't expect everything.

Well that shortens my list to Skyrim. Probably for the better, cause my baby boy is getting a little brother or sister in december. :D

Oh gods no.

If it makes ya feel any better, its only supposed to be for character interaction. Like actually saying the line you want to choose in the dialogue wheel...
Or something like that. I havent heard of it actually being used for any of the, I dunno, shooting parts and such.

I would rather they'd used it for interacting with the ship's computer/AI and for issuing commands to the crew (navigation, scanning, etc.)
